I saw the women play at the Disney Tourney last night. A lot of talent but we didn't play too well. Of course, it is still early and Langen's absence didn't help. Hopefully, her ankle will heal quickly. She was on crutches but seemed to be putting weight on her foot. Maffin played very well and I was impressed with Seay - cool and collected for a freshman.

If Landry has the talent to even receive consideration to start next year, that really says something! I knew he was a very talented all-around athlete but I didn't realize he was that advanced as a QB (other than a strong arm). I thought he would likely be moved to another position. A nice surprise!

I would guess that Mr. Corwin will likely be receiving a bunch of e-mail and letters!!!!!! And, hopefully, he will not be receiving many new clients!!!!!!

I am a bit surprised that the circumstances around Manke's initial injury has not been an issue on this site. As you point out, it definitely was late in the game when he got hurt. I don't second-guess our coaching staff often but this injury could have been avoided had we elected to give Belmore some playing time.

That is a very good question. While I have great confidence in our coaching staff putting a quality team on the field year-in and year-out, I do have some real concerns about next year. We routinely rotate in a lot of underclassmen at many positions (primarily on defense); however, we have a bunch of very talented seniors. They will be difficult to replace. An inexperienced QB is a concern but we have had this situation quite a few times over the last 15-20 years and we have many pleasant surprises with a new QB's ability and performance. I have no idea how much talent there is among the current redshirt freshmen. I know we lost a lost of kids we really wanted to SU. But there may be some very good players coming up who will fill some of these holes.

I didn't get a chance to watch any of the Denver game yesterday. Did Kuper play? If so, how did he do?

I guess my response to your original post could be considered "defending". But I do agree with you, there does not seem to be a great deal of interest. I hope that will change with a new coach, a new brand of ball and, most importantly, more wins. Historically, UND's men's program has had a very good following. A lot of people lost interest over the last few years due to 1) what most people thought was a lackluster effort and 2) the fact that the women's team was much more successful and much more fun to watch. With some success, I certainly hope the interest in and excitement for UND men's BB will return. But, unfortunately - your perception is probably quite true!

I continue to be confused why NDSU fans frequent this website but for those who do.... You have one hell of a football team. You certainly should have won that game yesterday. I am glad the Sioux aren't on your schedule this year. I am afraid that you would handle us quite easily. Congrats on a great team - it is too bad that you are not playoff eligible yet.

Anyone know how Reed Manke is doing? He certainly didn't look good as he left the field after the last play in Omaha. The week off certainly is coming at a good time!
