I saw the women play at the Disney Tourney last night. A lot of talent but we didn't play too well. Of course, it is still early and Langen's absence didn't help. Hopefully, her ankle will heal quickly. She was on crutches but seemed to be putting weight on her foot. Maffin played very well and I was impressed with Seay - cool and collected for a freshman.

If Landry has the talent to even receive consideration to start next year, that really says something! I knew he was a very talented all-around athlete but I didn't realize he was that advanced as a QB (other than a strong arm). I thought he would likely be moved to another position. A nice surprise!

I would guess that Mr. Corwin will likely be receiving a bunch of e-mail and letters!!!!!! And, hopefully, he will not be receiving many new clients!!!!!!

I am a bit surprised that the circumstances around Manke's initial injury has not been an issue on this site. As you point out, it definitely was late in the game when he got hurt. I don't second-guess our coaching staff often but this injury could have been avoided had we elected to give Belmore some playing time.

That is a very good question. While I have great confidence in our coaching staff putting a quality team on the field year-in and year-out, I do have some real concerns about next year. We routinely rotate in a lot of underclassmen at many positions (primarily on defense); however, we have a bunch of very talented seniors. They will be difficult to replace. An inexperienced QB is a concern but we have had this situation quite a few times over the last 15-20 years and we have many pleasant surprises with a new QB's ability and performance. I have no idea how much talent there is among the current redshirt freshmen. I know we lost a lost of kids we really wanted to SU. But there may be some very good players coming up who will fill some of these holes.
