  1. Meaning SDSU recovered? Please keep us updated on this game!
  2. UND 45 Winona 10
  3. I watched the second half on the internet. We were up by 20 at one point but the lead got down to four in the last couple of minutes. We didn't play very well at all in the last 10 minutes but, it was the first game so, hopefully, we will improve. Guinn had a hard time handling pressure - that is a bit scary if she is to be at the point much of the time! I would guess someone who was at the game will be posting their thoughts soon. You better try to get the men's game of the Fighting Sioux website. It is to be on in about 1/2 hour.
  4. And you went to Live Events and clicked on the icon on the right side of the "audio only" game? If so, what happened then?
  5. Did it indicate that it accepted your registration? Do you have "RealPlayer" installed on your computer?
  6. Anyone feel free to point it out if I am incorrect but I am sure that all recruiting is done on geographic basis - one assistant coach handles North Dakota, one handles out state MN, another handle the Cities, one handles WS, etc. It would not make sense (timewise or financially) to have three different coaches in Mpls at the same time recruiting kids for different positions. Obviously, the coordination of who they make offers to is extremely important and is done only after the coaches (especially Coach Lennon) have come to an agreement! My opinion is that the talent level of our whole defense, espeically the line is not nearly as good as it has been for many years. Hopefully, this is just a temporary situation!
  7. Great pics! Thanks!
  8. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
  9. I understand this a bit differently - Molde may have gotten a raise at Gustavus but I don't think he was "using" the UND job as leverage. I think he was truly interested in it! I beleive the following is fact..... Molde's wife had a very good job (a job she really liked) and very good income at the point he was considering the UND AD job last time around. The AD salary at UND was such that they would have take a step backwords as a family and she would have had to give up a job she really loved. As a family, they decided the UND salary was not enough to offset this loss of her job and her income. A legitimate decision that most any of us would have made! Since then, I believe his wife has retired so their situation may be much different today than it was then. He may be interested - he would be an excellent candidate! My impression is that he likely would have gotten the job last time around had he not pulled his name out of the hat! That may not be fact! Although I am in Rob's corner, I think there are three other very good candidates (not sure of their interest level): Purpur, Molde and Hedberg!
  10. That was a larger settlement than I expected but it certainly does not "break the bank"!!
  11. Well said!
  12. While I agree with your statement, I don't think there was much money involved here!
  13. I am somewhat surprised by Buning's very positive comments about his time as AD.
  14. SoCal - I agree with all of your comments and, while I respect Shawn-O's opinion, I don't think we can wait until some time next summer for this to happen. Naming a new AD will not take place in the first few days/weeks after the new president comes on board. Unless the new president it is an internal candidate, he/she will have a ton to "learn" about the University, etc. before making major decisions like this! We cannot afford to have the athletic department in "tough shape" with "extremely low morale" and "frustrated coaches" until next summer. We need to move forward now rather than wait until the situation is much worse!
  15. How was the crowd? Any players (male or female) stand out?
  16. I fully agree with this observation. We do not have the luxury of waiting until a new president is in place to name an AD! Too much needs to be done NOW to be as prepared as possible for the move to DI! Most importantly, Rob would do a great job!
  17. All the way up to #13 right now. Keep the votes coming!!!
  18. Enlighten me, what role did Kuper play in this fumbel?
  19. Thanks for the insight. Do you know if Harkins is able to go full speed or are his shins still a problem? How much do you think Benter will contribute?
  20. Has anyone seen the men's BB team work out? If so, any observations?
  21. Any observations about the play of others?
  22. A legitimate question. From my point of view, we had no chance of getting him now. Who knows, situations change, people change - if he may be looking for another home in a year or two, that home may be UND. I really hate to make that kind of comment because I really want North Dakota kids to make whether they leave the state or not.
  23. You are correct - my error!
  24. I fully agree with your comments. I certainly hope there is no medical issue but I am 99% sure there is not. The only possible reason for the leave is to "punish" the University for asking him to resign/firing him. He would know that this continuing saga provides both poor PR for UND but may also hamper the search for his replacement. Being on leave certainly doesn't enhance his ability to bring suit if that is the direction he is going! I would also think it wouldn't enhance his opportunity to find another good job!
  25. Aaron Dufault, the 6'8" forward out of Killdeer, has committed to Colorado. He had narrowed his options down to Colorado, Arizona State and NDSU. UND had courted him for a long time but he really had a good summer of AAU ball and, all of a sudden, everyone was after him! He is talented but may have some problems defensively. While I sure like to see ND kids do well, if he doesn't make it at Colorado, UND may have a chance to get him in a year or two.
