You are correct that SU has offered Farnlof. UNI had offered Pierce at one point but it must have been withdrawn. I agree that it would be a major "get" if we landed either Michaelson or Pierce - not likely to happen!

See above - as you probably know, the recruits have offers from schools that are underlined. It is my understanding that each of these kids is high on our priority list. I guess that would be confirmed by the number of offers they have.

Jake Rademacher, LB who we had offered, will walk on at Wisconsin.

Wiki has been updated with a variety of info - nothing very newsworthy (kids receiving new offers, etc.). I have also started a 2013 FB Recruiting list in Wiki - three kids on it so far.

Lechler has been added to the "prospect" list as our offering him has not been confirmed. He transferred to Beach from Baker, MT this last year. Although Baker is right next to the ND line (if I remember my geography correctly), that could mean a UM or MSU offer would be attractive to him.

I agree - he is very excited about next year's recruiting class as well as the young lady from Hopkins who is only a junior. I think he will be around another 3-4 years.

Impressive win - they sucked it up well after the embarrassment in Brookings. Hopefully, they may have learned something that will assist greatly in the maturity of this team.

2nd team All America with nice size - 6'2", 285. From the Mesabi area. Must be a good athlete, in BB he scored 16 pts/gm while shooting 70% from the field and was second in rebounding in his conference as a senior.

I have heard that Bemidji LB Brandon Larson has verballed to us. I don't know if it is true nor do I know if he has been offered a scholarship or a preffered walk-on.

Probably right after the first of the year. The down time (no active recruiting) starts on 12/19 and I don't think to reopens until 1/3 (maybe a little later).

I just read that shortly after I posted. I am glad that it doesn't appear he will walk-on at U of M but disappointed that he apparently is no longer considering us.

Andrew Larson and Drake Michaelson, two talented kids from the Cities who we have offered, are visiting U of M this weekend. I think we really want these two - I hope they don't receive walk-on or grayshirt offers. It sounds like Larson (maybe both of them) would commit to the Gophers.

While this is the past and we need to move forward, I find it interesting and a bit alarming that in UND's four years in the Great West, we had no one on this team. Yes, it might be a popularity contest & some of these guys are in the NFL now and that may have swayed some decisions - all that debateable stuff but I can't argue with our being shut out. We had a few very good players during this time frame but I don't think any of our guys were overlooked. The concerning part is that these teams were in transition just like us. Hopefully, the talent of the last couple of recruiting classes and, of course, future classes will continue to improve.

Wiki has been updated with the above info - including taking Carey Woods off of the "offered" list. Many other updates have also been made - nothing major, mostly new offers to kids we have talked to, some new recruits we are interested in (the latest is a big OL out of IL), etc.

Tebow played his HS ball (he was home-schooled) about four miles from my house so I have followed his career since he was a freshman in HS. He actually threw the ball a lot in HS and with a great deal of success (10,000 yards, etc.). Yes, it was HS but HS football is pretty darn good down here. I think everyone now understands this but Tebow is "just what you see". He wears his faith and determination on his sleeve but it is all real - nothing special for cameras or other media. What has happened with the Broncos the last few weeks is amazing. A lot of it sure seems to be luck and the other team making very untimely mistakes but.... Tebow has been winning games like this since he was a sophomore in HS and throughout his career at Florida. The only difference is that he wasn't as inept throughout the first three quarters of each game. It appears to me that he had improved his throwing motion significantly last year but he has regressed greatly this year. I suppose the lack of a preseason may have had something to do with that. I am one who doubts that Denver can win long term with Tebow but I have no doubt that Tebow will do everything possible in his efforts to become a bonafide NFL QB. Whether he is able to make those improvements remains to be seen. Personally, I think he could be a heck of a tight end!

Any specific source providing the insight that Gene intends to hang it up? There was speculation when he sold his house a couple of years ago but I wasn't aware of any recent indications.

It appears that there is a good chance we can get Muss to 2nd place. After MSU's loss, I would guess that the votes for Ash will slack off and we are steadily gaining on Ambrose.

Anyone know which potential recruits were on campus over the weekend?
