  1. You are right - that article about Brown was posted here earlier. I had forgotten about it!
  2. I now see that Draeger, Pat Brown and Laverdure were listed as redshirts. Also, Adler is listed as a TE but is the No. 2 FB.
  3. I would guess DeCoteau realized he wouldn't a great deal of playing time. I hadn't heard anything about Dulaney and, as you noted, we knew Butler and Anya-Gafu weren't going to be with the team. Some newcomers that I wasn't aware of: Jordan Christianson, a punter from Hurst, TX Jay Daggett, a WR from Naples, FL William James, a DB from Sweden (interesting!) Bobby Gutierrez, a PK from Gainesville, TX (he is listed as a freshman but he apparently was at Northland CC) Pat Brown, a WR from North Pole, Alaska (also interesting!) T.J. Draeger, WR from Fargo North Marcus Laverdure, DL from Belcourt Some of these guys are listed as redshirt freshmen so I don't know if they just showed up on campus between semesters are if they were with the team last fall but not on the roster. Some notable changes in size (wt) from last year's fall roster: WR Ivery +13 to 169 (added weight/strength some help) RB Garman + 7 to 177 (same as above) TE Nichols +20 to 245 (he is now TE size - I expect him to have a good year) DL Jay Nelson -13 to 245 (hopefully, a better playing weight for him) LB Bennett +16 to 234 OL Hellman +42 to 302 (the Red River product must have been busy pumping weight and eating) OL Meehan +16 to 306 OL Gillson +27 to 342 DL Henson +12 to 298 OL Windfeldt -14 to 296 OL Hoplin +20 to 265 (another RR product gaining some serious size) OL Deneui +11 to 304 WR Jackson +23 to 233 (he should be tough to bring down) WR Young +13 to 198 DL Cummings +29 to 283 TE Adler +22 to 237 DL Woodsmill +19 to 234 DL Brenneman +12 to 266
  4. Fouls are going to be a problem!
  5. For those who are interested, a bunch of new "players of interest" have been added to Wiki.
  6. Where do you suggest they find the $200,000?
  7. No. 17: WR Matt Harris, 6', 170, Lagrange, IL also has offer from Toledo.
  8. The 16th offer (that we are aware of): Charles Melka, a 6'4", 230 DE from Lisle, IL
  9. Sounds like we might have landed a good one here. He was probably too small to get much attention down there. I am sure he will add 20-25 pounds by the time he plays his first game after redshirting.
  10. The other one may be Dan Bell from Memonomee Falls - not sure if we talked about him earlier. I added him to Wiki last night.
  11. Sorry - I missed that, wasn't aware that he had been offered. We sure have a bunch of offers out there already and I assume there are more that we aren't aware of.
  12. He has been there - look down near the bottom of the list.
  13. Another offer: OL Chad Fahning, 6'7”, 276, St. Paul, (De La Salle), MN
  14. Scores of tonight's games?
  15. Got it - thanks! Haven't heard if they are broadcasting all games. I hope so.
  16. Agree - that would be great. Are there any radio stations broadcasting the tourney who are available on the internet?
  17. d I haven't seen Kroeplin play but I have heard that he needs to work on his left hand! Who has seen him play? Is that fact?
  18. I have recently watched some YouTube videos of North Star's recent games (including the one with Warwick). Unbelieveable shooting by both teams. 92,96 - You didn't mention Arvidson, I am told that he has the best chance to play DI ball. However, with Hagler only being a junior, who knows! Grande is also a stud on that team - and only a junior!
  19. I am curious what some of the former (or current) coaches on this board think about the free throw issue. I agree that it is the kids who are standing at the line and they must make the shots. My experience tells me that coaching can and should help address a player's confidence level in making FTs. Isn't it similar to a player (in most any sport) who really plays well or relatively well in certain aspects of a game in practice but struggles in games? They need confidence instilled in them that they can perform similarly in game situations. I may be wrong on this one - would be very interested in hearing from some coaches.
  20. Many, many years ago my junior high team in a small town in ND made 29 of 30 FTs in a game (glad I wasn't the one who missed the one!). That was a fluke but, as you said, UND's efforts this year (not just yesterday) has been truly embarrassing. As I orated above, this is the least disciplined team I have ever seen at UND. Too many dumb fouls at dumb times, dumb shots, lack of leadership on and off the court, etc. The post-game comment (made twice in the last week) which stated the team's goal (from the start of the season) this year was to have a winning record tells much of the story. After finishing 19-15 last year, why would a coach readily talk about being satisfied with a winning season? To me is shows lack of leadership and motivation.
  21. Fully agree!
  22. I have been watching UND basketball for many, many years. This is by far the least disciplined team we have ever had!
  23. 3 of 21
  24. 2 of 19
  25. 2 for 17
