I agree - I have been following UND FB recruiting closely for many years. I don't every remember only one OL in a class. Even with the PWOs, Schwartkopf is expected to be on defensive side of the line.

I posted this over on the FCS Recruiting thread - meant to have it here....> I think Wiki is fully updated with the 21 signees and 7 PWOs (assuming those that haven't paid their fees will show up on campus this fall). It will be interesting to learn if any of the guys had more offers than we are aware of. I like the class but it appears there weren't many who had other offers. No need to comment on that comment - I fully realize some kids who weren't highly recruited turn out to be great college FB players. However, I would prefer that they were more highly thought of by other schools

It seems very odd that two CA kids are both still in school but will not play FB!!!

You are correct - there was a great deal of interest in him a few months ago. I wonder what happened with him - injured during his Sr. year?

I had thought the "semester off" was the first semester just completed. It would be great if Breon was back in the fall and I certainly agree that we don't want to lose Javen.

Does anyone know if all the FB players returned to school for the second semester? I understand Anyu-Gafu and at least one of the Butlers are not in school. That info may not be fact.

Defections elsewhere as well - Marquis Bundy (a WR from AZ who had an early offer from us) originally verbaled to Montana. It appears he will sign with New Mexico.

Michaelson had lots of options - somewhat surprising he chose Wofford. Wofford, in Spartanburg, SC, has an enrollment of 1,500 students - meaning that nearly a third of their students are athletes. Beautiful campus with very highly thought of academics so it is a great place to go to school ... but a long way from Minnesota.

Yet another tall receiver - 6'3, 190 Zach Oliver from Omaha Burke. I wonder if one or two of the current receiving corp are leaving are going to be ineligible.

He must be a heck of an athlete despite lacking size. He was listed as 5'11", 166 on his HS FB roster.

As mentioned in a previous post, Lechler recently moved to Beach from Baker, MT. You would think that he may have a preference for the Big Sky.

I agree - it appears that Bungum has been leaning towards Army all along but I have no idea why he has not committed.

It is interesting to note that SU was also an option for him and that he will likely play on the DL rather than the OL.

Alec Vesper, DT from IL who was to have had an offer from us, has committed to Mankato.

The Farlee kid (kicker) out of NE that we had shown some interest in is going to Kearney.
