  1. My thoughts: RB Direll Clark, 6'1”, 225, Lake Villa (Lakes Community), IL (3 Star - Scout) Has offers from Purdue, E IL & W KY TE Tony Gumina, 6'3”, 225, Sussex (Hamilton), WI (2 Star - Scout) Has offers from USD, NDSU, UNI & Ball St OL Mike Langman, 6'5”, 255, Naperville (Naperville North), IL Has offers from USD, Yale & Dartmouth DE Grant Bartell, 6'3”, 245, New Lenox (Lincoln Way Central), IL Has offer from IN St DE Dean Helt, 6'6”, 225, Waunakee (Waunakee), WI Has offers from IL St & W IL DE Logan Neitzke, 6'4”, 225, Appleton (North), WI (2 Star - Scout) Has offers from USD, Air Force, Army & UW (PWO) LB Jareid Combs, 6'4”, 225, Mpls (DeLaSalle), MN (2 Star - Scout) Has offers from SDSU, IL St & ISU LB Mike Redmond, 6'4”, 220, 4.7, Minnetonka (Minnetonka), MN (2 Star - Rivals) Has offers from UNI, IL St & Iowa (PWO) I am sure we don't have a shot at some of these kids but I would have them at the top of the list. There are undoubtedly others that we don't know about. It is interesting to note that RB Kani Benoit once again is listed in Rivals as uncommitted. He first verballed to CSU, then to UNLV. ****Just checked ESPN - they have him going to Oregon!
  2. It was more difficult to follow the activity around specific prospects back then but I followed it quite closely. I don't think he received a great deal of attention coming out the Bellevue West.
  3. I won't get into the discussion of whether a lot of DII teams are better than DI teams today or 20 years ago. The two teams were from different eras but I firmly believe that the team of the early 90's would beat this team 8 times in 10 games. They were talented, disciplined, fundamentally sound and unselfish!
  4. Vince Ames, MN Rivals, indicated that both UND and SDSU had offered Moore. However, if there was an offer, I am sure that it was pulled some time ago after we got commitments from Robertson, etc.
  5. OK - fully agree. As I noted above, it doesn't make any sense. You might host a handful of kids who are thinking about walking on (not PWO) but you don't spend $ on travel, etc. the last weekend unless it is a kid you really want! I think Wayne must have been given some bad info!
  6. While I agree with you that 15 kids in this weekend seems odd - especially if recruiting efforts are about done. Additionally, it is not inexpensive to bring recruits in so that makes it more confusing - we don't have a FBS-type budget! . However, your statement that "there was more like 2-3 on campus" - how do you know that? When you say "what a joke", are you referring to the recruiting effort or poor reporting? Lots of questions for you - what do you mean by the didn't even have 15 in December? Are you knocking our recruitng effort or strategy? Bottom line - I am not disagreeing with you. I would just ask that you clarify the point(s) you are trying to make. Thanks!
  7. I am afraid that Iowa is going to find some $ for Norberg! I'm a little confused about our having 15 kids on campus this weekend when "we're about done" (with recruiting)!
  8. Agree - it has been very quiet. I hope all the surprises on Wednesday will be positive!!
  9. I know he scores a bunch but not much more about him - size, position?
  10. Guys - I am traveling and unable to get into some of the normal sites. Are Wharton and Bell official enough to be added to Wiki yet?
  11. I would guess that is probably happening IF we are still interested in him.
  12. Disappointing but not surprising - just hope we don't have a similar situation with Norberg or anyone else!
  13. Wow - it sure looked like that last shot was on target!
  14. You have to remember that, despite these kids having some talent, the reason they have scored so much is because they were better than the upperclassmen. They wouldn't have seen so many minutes if we had been able to recruit decent talent the couple of years before they arrived! To some degree, they have scored all these points by default! That is a bit harsh but it is fact!
  15. You've been busy - thanks! I will update Wiki.
  16. Welcome to the board and thanks for the insight! Glad to hear your thoughts on Palandech. I hope your son's teammate has a great year for us - not sure which one it is as all four recruits out of IL last year were offensive players. Hope to hear from you again!
  17. That is a factor but missing shot after shot also creates a ton of rebounds!
  18. In the last 31 minutes of the game, we were outscored 55 to 34.
  19. Sac has 17 TOs to our 8 but we have been outrebounded 38-22!
  20. You are absolutely correct and it sure doesn't appear the coaching staff has attempted to make any adjustments!
  21. Giving up way too many offensive rebounds!
  22. And I was just getting kind of excited about this team......
  23. UND has scored 6 points in the last 16 minutes.
  24. Allard with another lousy shot!
