  1. Have we heard anything definitive about Adams' injury? How serious is it?
  2. Another Brown in the defensive backfield? Offer: Greg Brown, 5'11", 172, Dallas (Bryan Adams), TX
  3. FSSD: In general, I think the low numbers are in part due to three factors: 1) In general, relatively new head coaches with mens football and basketball. *************************** While I fully agree with the comments that our FB and BB head coaches are paid much less than others (and that doesn't seem right), as FSSD notes, they both got the first head coaching jobs when we were still DII. They haven't been overly successful so they haven't gotten large increases. Simply giving each of them a $40K raise wouldn't all of a sudden make them better coaches or the programs much successful. Hockey is No 1. at UND and probably always will be. However, I believe our existing FB and BB head coaches will be rewarded well if their programs prosper. I also think that, if they are replaced, UND will open up the purse strings to bring in quality replacements.
  4. If we had someone who could score inside, they would get the ball! Plus it would open things up more for our outside scorers.
  5. Chad Calcaterra, a 6'10", a 240 lb center, visited UND today and was offered (he may have been offered before today). Calcaterra spent his first two years at CSU (recruited by Tim Miles). He redshirted his first year and then played sparingly as a freshman. He then transferred to Western Nebraska CC where last year he averaged less than 9 minutes and less than 4 points per game. I don't know if he was hurt but probably not as he played in all the team's 30 games. Nice size but I don't know how much he would contribute.
  6. Offer: Luke Rasmusson, 6'7", 240, Brookfield (Central), WI
  7. I am afraid the talent level was dramatically different!
  8. RBs?
  9. I also heard from a reliable source within the U that the old REA will be demolished soon and work on the IPF will begin once REA is gone.
  10. New offer: Beau Benzschawel, 6'6", 250, Grafton (Grafton), WI Has offer from UNC
  11. Sorry - should have read your comment more closely!
  12. I don't disagree with your point but, if it wasn't for Ralph, we wouldn't the REA. Who knows, we may still be in the original REA.
  13. Are you talking about Dibo, the kid from Paris? Apparently he progressed a lot this year. More of an outside player than a banger!
  14. I agree we need some bigs but, if we can land a great shooting gaurd who is willing to redshirt, we need to grabl him! Four of the above will be seniors and, while the others may be good players, I'm not sure they have the talent level to play a great 2!
  15. I know they are hoping to find a HS PF that would redshirt next year. I understand they are also looking at a SG and have offered a kid but he is leaning towards going elsewhere.
  16. Fully agree - this is not a big deal. I bet the majority of them enjoyed doing it with their teammates!
  17. 4321 - It appears you have some good insight into the FB program - welcome to the board and keep to info coming!!
  18. Usually the first week of spring ball so I would think we would see it quite soon. It will be interesting to see who has added weight (hopefully, muscle) over the winter workouts.
  19. Nice article about Hooker in today's Tribune - sorry, I don't know how to provide the link.
  20. Another OT offer: Joe Komel, 6'5", 280, Maple Park (Kaneland), IL
  21. New offer: OL Zach Novoselsky Lincolnshire, Illinois Stevenson 6'5" 280. Also has offers from Toledo, W MI & WY.
  22. What is the weather doing up there this morning? That may be a long 500+ mile drive. I hope they: 1) are able to get there today and 2) can get there at a decent time so they can relax and get a good night of rest.
  23. We along with NDSU, UNI, Creighton, Portland, San Fran, Wyoming and Cal-Fullerton offered SF Marquel Curtis, who played at Williston JC. The 6'3, 190, from Robbinsdale Armstrong has verbaled to Tulsa.
  24. I am curious what others' reaction to these comments might be. Do others close to program or at least have been to most of the women's games agree or disagree?
  25. What an interesting situation - wouldn't it be great if this young man became a big-time contributor for us?
