And the one fight your boy Brian got into looked like two 7th grade girls slapping each other around. I'd like to see him drop the gloves now, he'd really get worked. And just for the record, Mat Greene never fought in his time here. The last time I checked he was able to hold his own with the big boys. I daresay Finley has a better chance in a fight in the big leagues then your boy Brian does.

According to the "experts," the Sioux weren't even supposed to come out of their regional, so I don't know how they could have been a heavy favorite.

After it was Toppers I think it was called BLB's Pit Barbeque or something like that. That only lasted a short time though.

Well, we will just have to wait and see, there is a kid named Johnny Toews who may eclipse what vanek got. That is if Chicago, or maybe someone else wants to pony up. You'll never convince me that vanek is a better hockey player or worth more than Johnny. If Johnny never gets that kind of dough it just goes to show you how over-inflated vanek's deal really was IMO.

Dude, I agree with you 100%. Report it to a moderator and IF he does his job then that poster should be dealt with accordingly.

Although I agree with you, saying what you said could get you suspended around here. I know this from personal experience.

For what it is worth both vanek and kessel have been benched for being defensive liablities, which does say something about prior coaching. I'm not laying all of that on tdon, but others as well who let them be complacent in their own end.

I'm going to feel real icky after this but I'm going to say it anyhow. Some think wheeler's college career was less than stellar. However, blake did what was aksed of him by his coaching staff for the good of the TEAM. TEAM being the key word. He may not have put up the big numbers, but keep in mind he was playing out of his natural spot as some have already pointed out. You also have to look at who he played with and ask youself "were they really the best players to compliment blake's style of play?" Let's not also forget some of the adversity the goophs faced as a team, ie. hirsch, hagemo, okposo, o'brien, carmen, stoa, ect. Trying to keep your ship righted and your team firing on all cylinders after all that is not an easy task for any coach. I believe blake has the talent to play at the next level, and will, somewhere. I've never been a wheeler basher, and refuse to be, as I think he was a victim of circumstance, put there by the Phoenix organization.

Burglary, fleeing, terrorizing, assualt, where's the 30 pages of outrage and dissapointment? Where's the story in USA Today? How about a mugshot on WDAZ every day for the next week, come on Cassie you're slippin' here. Other student athletes have "minor" scrapes with law enforcement and are scrutinized much more. What a joke. No response from sicatoka? Time to put your money where your mouth is. I guess maybe it's all ok, he's only a football player.

Yes, I understand that, but you both conveniently leave out the part where oxbow says something about questioning the choices of a hockey player, ect. That is the part I am referring to.

Exactly what is your point? Is it that you are disappointed in a 20 year old college kid and what he does in his personal time? If so, you and others that post here might want to consider starting some type of support group to deal with it.

You have every right to your opinion. However MY OPINION is that I think it is sad that you have such a hard time with what a college kid does in his spare time. It's really quite ridiculous, but if you are into worrying about the personal life of young male college hockey players, then more power to you.

I bet I could give you a few million reasons why he doesn't care what people like you think about his personal life. It's really sad that you have to dwell on the mistakes of a college kid.

His anger may have spilled out all over the board after I had been suspended. I believe it was aimed at the moderators and the inconsistent way of dealing with people breaking "the rules." What you call classless and infantile, I call a buddy sticking up for a buddy. I am proud to call "the source" a good friend, who does many wonderful things for this community, including UND. That being said, taking shots at a guy who can't be here to defend himself is equally classless and infantile. Maybe we should practice what we preach a little.

I'll tell you how we lost that year...stupid penalties, by guys that should have known better.

After taking shots at him on the board last week, I had a nice PM discussion with Jim about some of these very issues. He was very receptive to any suggestions or ideas, and appreciated the feedback. If you have issues PM Jim and let him know, that way they can be addressed. By the way I want to publicly apolgize to Jim for the barbs I was throwing out at him, it was just frustrating for me to read some of the crap that people were spewing.

Please send these concerns to Jim Dahl. He is open to any suggestions you have.

Be careful here folks. As fun fun as it is trading punches with goopher fans, there are some things to keep in mind. They have an elite powerhouse program the same as UND does. This year they faced some adversity with injuries and players jumping ship. Through it all they didn't have too bad of a season. I expect they will be back in the hunt again next year, they have found themselves one hell of a goaltender, and will be able to build around him.

I'm sure it seems odd to you as ndsu doesn't send near as many athletes to the pros.
