Why is it that we've never heard of this guy (Joe Hall) before? Or did I miss it somewhere along the line? His numbers look awesome. How good a league is that he's playing in?

On radio, whenever the subject of the ice came up, TH said "not that we have the greatest ice in the league anyway" at least a couple of times. I've heard this said before in past years. My question: isn't there anything that can be done about that, if it is in fact, true?

According to Sports Illustrated, a recently televised game between the NJ Devils and I think Florida was tuned into by 764 households in New York City. That's out of, like 5 million or more. That's astounding!!

As I remember, the UND coaching staff was estatic when they signed VV because they got him before anyone else realized his potential. I think he will blossum, maybe not this year, but down the line theline.

I hope that both teams can avoid the dreaded "checking from behind" penalties. That would screw up things for both nights should it happen Friday. I believe the Sioux had one on Friday last year. That penalty was far more prevalent season long last year than this, but I could be wrong. (Oops! Maybe I just jinxed someone by bringing it up. Forget I said anything.) Go Sioux!

I really have to agree with Sagard on this issue.

So......a one goal win at another team's rink...a team who's coach stated this was their biggest game of the year to date....what does this mean for the mental state of the Sioux coming into Saturday's game...will they be fired up?...or is there a let down? Over-confident? ... (I don't see that...) personally, I think it was a damn good win, especially after giving upthe 2 goal lead....I think this is going to be typical of the games this team wins the rest of the year.....good enough to beat good teams (like the gophers) ? we shall see. (I sure as hell hope so!!!!!!) I have never been a gopher fan (55 years old) but I'll always admit when they have a good team, which they do this year. ( As they did last year, till the regionals in GF.) I'm rambling...It's been a long night.

Anybody here think that the fact that Toews is now a national hero of sorts in Canada will help the Sioux in recruiting Canadian kids? Maybe not a huge effect, but some?

I, too, am surprised that they didn't factor in Trupp. From what I've read, he's has the potential to be a real difference maker.

Born and raised in Mayville, ND, live there now, had a 7 year stint in Warroad, MN.
