  1. I think he accused them of "scoreboard reffing," which it definitely seemed they were guilty of.
  2. He never really did "get the rust shook off." As far as Jones, I bet he was getting a little antsy last night sitting in the press box (or where ever it is that they sit when not dressed) watching all of the extra curriculars going on.
  3. I'm going to need further explaining...apparently a little slow this morning. So if I'm to understand this correctly; If UND did not have anyone in the box, then Marto's penalty would have been waived off. Right? Marto served his full two minutes, and just not the remainder of Dunc's time after the goal was scored? Because that would make the most sense if you're going to throw Marto in the box for a penalty that would normally be negated because the penalty was called leading up to the goal being scored. It just seems a little arbitrary to not waive off his penalty just because they were already on the PK.
  4. Have a contingency plan to get out as fast as possible.
  5. How was the matter eventually resolved?
  6. Yes, please enjoy the -25 wind chill all weekend long. Looking so forward to ENJOYING the walk from my car to the Ralph this weekend.

    Jeff Dubay

Ousted KFAN host Dubay put in drug program Hopefully KFAN will hire him back after a successful completion of the program. I missed him cowtowing to the Sioux faithful after last weekends sweep.
  8. Friday's at BWW south rock. Saturday's not so much. I'd try out AppleBees, the OB, Mom's, Hooligan's, The Penalty Box (what better place to catch a game?). Anywhere but BWW south. Actually that's where I'll probably go if I go out Saturday. The place is usually packed for big Sioux games (unless the Sioux get rolled on Fri, then it'll be just kind of busy on Saturday). I just don't want to end up sitting in the restaurant because the bar is too packed. So head North everyone! GO SIOUX!
  9. I think the weather nazis are going to owe me a St Cloud vs. UND hockey game (at the Ralph). I know that it's early yet, and the "blizzard" can still hit, by I think we were all duped again by the weather guessers that "forecasted" this "storm" four or five days ago. On another note; I though Huber retired at the end of last season. Did the Ralph make him an offer he couldn't refuse? And why bring just him back? Where's his hottie side kick from last year?
  10. Let's not bring back the old guy. I like Hennin, but I find him WAY more annoying than Looker. Last year at the F5 he insisted on pronouncing Chay Genoway's name the way that Colby preferred. Pretty embarrassing when the PA guy is representing the home town and can't even pronounce one of the home team's players right.
  11. I have to disagree. 1. The team is 3-4 in WCHA play. They do not NEED a win. A win would be great, but they certainly do not NEED a win. There are a lot of games left to be played. 2. Again, it's so early in the season. I'd be concerned about the intensity level if it was the middle of January, but we're still in the 2nd weekend of November. I think last nights game will be a huge learning experience. Wasn't it when Denver (not sure about the opponent) was at the Ralph least year, and the team had to come from behind to pull out a win? Then they took that experience to Wisconsin and came back to win the Midwest Regional. 3. Give Hak a break on the finger. If you I bottled all of my emotions up for all 60 minutes of every game, and finally exploded, and the finger was the result, bfd. Don't forget about the dip**** refs that he has to put up with almost every weekend. No excuse for flipping the finger, but let's get over it. Six losses before Thanksgiving... The team could lose EVERY game before the 1st round of the WCHAs and still win a national championship. Let's not get our panties in a bunch (not necessarily talking to tSikota-but everyone that is whining like little girls). It's still early in the season. I'm sure that Hak will have his team in prime form long before March rolls around. One last thing...For all of the Finley haters- How do you like him now? Getting tired of seeing Genoway giving up the pass on Defense on those two on ones. Lucky he didn't cost the team another goal late in the 2nd Friday night. Also tired of opponents camping out in front of the net waiting for rebounds, deflections, or just sitting there screening the goal. I think we'll see a different team out on the ice tonight.
  12. Don't care if they lose every regular season game. Just as long as they peak for the playoffs and win their last 9 (or 9 out of last 10- as long as the one loss comes in the 1st round of the WCHAs) games in a row. It's a long season, hopefully Eidsness or Walski will start to shine. Not too worried right now. They beat the #1 team in the country last night. They lost a game tonight while missing some D. They'll be back.
  13. Shooter McGavin: "Be careful, pal. I eat pieces of **** like you for breakfast." Happy Gilmore: "You eat pieces of **** for breakfast?" Shooter: "No, I.........."
  14. McClown wouldn't know dog poop if he was swimming in it.
  15. Did Malone catch a flight to Colorado Springs this morning?
  16. If I wouldn't have been in my car driving, I probably would have fell out of my chair laughing; Bruce McClown was interviewed after the 2nd period. He was commenting on how a "cleaner" game is being called this year. He claims that 9 out of 10 of the emails he receives are complaints that too many penalties are being called. He said that it was out of his officials hands because the NCAA dictates how the game is called. BS. 1st of all, it's about time that the refs started to call the game by the rules that are in place. It would have been nice for Parise, Toews, Oshie, and Dunc, in previous years if they weren't being mugged every time they were on the ice. Secondly, other conferences had been calling games by the rules that were already in place. It would have been just a matter of time before the blue chip offensive skaters would have opted to not play in the WCHA. Last, and certainly not least, McClown is still, and always will be a clown. Does he think that 9 out of 10 hockey fans didn't know that the NCAA wanted a cleaner game to be called for the last few years, and he was just having his crews call them the way they always had been?
  17. Not big Joe Finley. Nothing that a little poke to the shins that won't take care of.
  18. I can't speak for all of the "apologists," but I was merely stating that getting caught with ingredient(s) to make meth is a lot different than actually possessing meth, or getting caught at some meth cooking site. If you're caught with one meth ingredient, whatever it might be, it does not mean that you are on your way to go cook up some meth. Just like if I go to the grocery store and purchase yeast, it does not mean that I'm going to my still out in the country to cook up some moonshine. If you can't understand that, well, good luck to you.
  19. It's definitely not Reagan's GOP, but I wouldn't claim that there is absolutely no appeal to the party. A lot of the appeal on November 4th will be to make sure that BHO will not be elected. I think that this should be the Republican parties new slogan; "On occasion luck will beat hard work, but, hard work will beat hope every time." I don't think Obama's plan to do away with (so in fact, he is proposing a tax increase) the Bush tax cuts will help any of us that aren't obnoxiously wealthy. Also, cutting the corporate tax like McCain is proposing to do will help everyone from the obnoxiously rich all the way down to people like you and me who depend on jobs that the obnoxiously rich provide. Edit: Oh yeah, Big Eddie is a Big D-bag.
  20. Here's a fact; I'm not a gopher fan, or a viking fan. I do appreciate what the Twins have been able to do with their cheap ass owner, maybe I'd call myself a fan, but definitely not a fanatic. I don't really follow NHL hockey, so I'm not really a fan of the Wild either. So I'm not really sure why you assumed that I was drinking the Kool Aid.
  21. It took you six words to say what I said in about 70. Impressive, especially for someone with a gopher avatar;)
  22. I love it! You rip on buckysieve for stating that it was not meth and that no charges would be filed, then you go on to state that the only fact that is for certain (isn't that what facts are?) is that Puffy's career at KFAN is over with. Are you the University of Minnesota's ambassador for their school of journalism? Maybe it could be a new career for you?
  23. I was only going with what I had read off of the police report: Statute Referenced Drugs - Sale More Than 2 Packages or Greater Than 6 Grams Methamphetamine Precursor Drugs So, after reading it again I realize now that it does not actually say "sale- more than two packages of greater than 6 grams..." it says "sale...or greater than 6 grams..." My mistake. Does it really matter though if it was more than 6 grams, or 12+ grams? I should ask you why you brought up pseudoephedrine hcl? Who's to say that Jeffrey didn't pick up some skank after his last shift at KFAN, did his business with her, realized what a dirty girl she was, ran down to Walgreens, picked up about 10 bottles of iodine to wash himself down with. Iodine being purchased in big quantities is probably a red flag, so Joe Walgreen sales associate calls the cops with Dubay's license number when he leaves the store. Big deal if he's gopher homer. He seems like a like able guy, it's not like this was Michael Irvin getting busted with cocaine precursors 10 years ago (let me clarify- as far as I know Irvin was never caught with precursors, just the real deal, just trying to make a point). Why is that I have to defend myself for ripping posters who are reporting the Dubay got busted with meth, when the police report that they are citing says that he got caught with meth precursors. There's a HUGE difference. Meth is not the same thing as iodine, or red phosphorus (both precursors of meth). Have you ever tried getting high off of iodine;)
  24. You are right it doesn't literally say "12+" grams. I took the liberty of multiplying 2 (packages) times (greater than) 6 (grams). It's not really clear that the 2 or more packages combined are more than 6 grams, or if 2 or more packages each weigh 6+ grams. The liberties I took with my math were hardly the same liberties taken when a thead is started saying that Dubay was arrested for meth, when the arrest record clearly states that he was in possession of meth precursors. Being naive about meth, and all other drugs, I thought 12 grams was a lot of anything to be carrying around. After a little googleing, I've come to learn that 12 grams is only worth about $1000- $1200. Still seems like a lot though. Meth is a huge problem and the police should be able to do whatever (with in reason of course) it takes to get it off of the streets. However, if it turns out that Dubay was arrested for possession of Sudafed, and he has no other record of meth use, I hope that he finds a good lawyer and sticks it to the city of Plymouth. If it turns out Puffy is doing meth, I hope he gets the help he needs. IMO he's too fat and his teeth are too nice to being doing meth though. I guess I'm a little sensitive to this for a couple of reasons. One of them, this reminds me of the Oshie elevator incident. Everyone was pretty quick to throw TJ under the bus before any of the facts were available. His case ended up getting dropped. Another reason this bugs me; way back when I was in high school, 15+ years ago, I got into a little trouble. Charged with a misdemeanor. Nothing more than a couple of friends getting a little bit too intoxicated, and getting caught doing a little vandalism. A couple of years ago I find out that one of my friends (who I went to hs with) thought that I was convicted with a felony resulting from the incident, and he's been telling all of our mutual friends for the last 15+ years that I was a convicted felon.
