  1. Nice and neutral doesn't exist! Sorry, eliminate everything. That is our only hope!
  2. I just think they have deserved more praise then they have been given by USCHO. I know what you are saying about staying under the radar. I guess they will get the praise if we bring home #8? I am hoping I get to make a trip down to St. Lewy to celebrate! I am talking more about front page news PCM. Your articles have been great.
  3. Has anyone else noticed that USCHO doesn't seem to make much of the Sioux? We aren't even mentioned as the first team to advance in the WCHA in the same post ,First Time for Everything, that mentions that Wisconsin kept its hopes alive,etc.... It seems like USCHO has snubbed the Sioux many times this season. It ticks me off because I think this Sioux team has been pretty amazing in the way they turned things around in the second half. Anyone else have an opinion about this?
  4. i have my laptop plugged into my tv. everything on the laptop shows up on the screen but the most important part, the video of the game! :-) the video is showing up on the laptop in the small window and when i go full screen but it shows a black box on my tv. anyone know how to get the video to show up?
  5. I was just looking at this article at the BP Amoco in Oswego, IL! I figured somebody would have it posted here. Isn't it convenient that Fools Crow's grandson decided to wait until after his grandpa passed away to try to get the costume, etc... back that his grandpa had passed down to him?? Yeah Right!! I am pretty sure if his grandpa had wanted to pass the costume down to him GRANDPA WOULD'VE PASSED IT DOWN TO HIM RATHER THAN SELL IT TO THE UNIVERSITY IF THAT IS WHAT GRANDPA REALLY WANTED!? Right? I know, this is crazy talk because I am not supporting the PC agenda. We are supposed to feel sympathy for Fools Crow's grandson. Imagine violin music playing in the background as they talk about how difficult it is for Fools Crow's grandson to deal with the UofI stealing this family heirloom from him that his grandfather sold to the UofI! :-) Everyone will miss that the grandfather sold it because they will make the grandson out to be a victim. I am sure the coverage will be fair of this situation, especially if the Illini say forget it or if they say, okay, we will SELL it to you. The UofI will be demonized by the media for sure. I am a bit suspicious of the amount the Illini said they paid for the costume? $3500? That amount 24 years ago is quite a bit of dough for a costume like that isn't it? That is besides the point though. If the Illini do SELL it back to the grandson I think they should add inflation and interest to the charge. That costume is probably worth $50K if you add those additional costs?
  6. Way to go Zach! Too bad he has to play with Kessel! http://www.newjerseydevils.com/2005/html/t...allstar2007.php
  7. Check out the goals by Blake here: http://www.nhl.com/video/app?page=GameHigh..._continuous.wmv The 2nd goal was awesome. Very nice. Very nice! :-) He is getting some great press and received the 3rd star on NHL.com.
  8. During the news segment on Fox News the Fighting Sioux logo was on the screen and the reporter mentioned the case and said that the NCAA would not appeal the injunction against the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux!!! It was cool to see our logo on Fox News and to hear about our first win in the case!
  9. I went to both games this weekend and just returned. We have a team this year. We should've won Saturday. We outplayed them and looked like the better team. Elliott played a good game. He got lucky but he was solid. I think UND fans posting here need to stop talking about how great the Badger fans are and get your asses in gear at the Ralph. I am living in the Chicago area and try to get up to the Kohl whenever we are playing there and am always amazed by the atmosphere. Seriously, what would it take to change things at the Ralph? I lived in TX a few years ago and went to an A&M bonfire where I learned that the A&M fans get together on Friday nights for Cheer Practice. The campus wreaked of school pride. Badgers are stiff Norweigens too right?? I wish I were in GF to help out. Get it going guys. Make the fans of other teams talk about how amazing the Sioux fans are, etc... or I guess we can just keep talking about the Badger fans........ Speaking of Badger fans, I had a group yelling at me saying NORTH DAKOTA.......SUCKS over and over again. When they were done, shortly after all the fans were saying Racist Mascot and Sue is a womans name I yelled back and said, you are Hostile and Abusive fans. I felt pretty good about it and they actually laughed with me when I said it! :-) I wish I had more Sioux fans with me so we could have responded to the Racist Mascot chants with NCAA Appeasers chants or something like that. Maybe we need to throw red paint on them like PETA does to people who wear fur in public? That might be pretty funny actually for Badger and Gopher and other animal named teams for that matter! They are abusing poor Bucky. Bucky's face looks much more Hostile than our Sioux logo. During the Saturday game the fans started with the Sioux is a womans name and then later started saying Sioux is a whore. If I would've had more support I was thinking we could've said Just like your mom or Your Mom's Name Must be Sue back to them or something....? Ah well, would you guys figure out a way to get the entire Ralph cheering in unison? C'mon, get it goin! Sioux are looking like heaven in 2006-2007!!!
  10. My wife and I are going to the Friday and Saturday night games. We have four tickets for the Friday game but our friends that were planning on going with us are not going to be able to go to the Friday game so we have two extra tickets. We are in Level KC Section 304 ROW C which seem to be pretty good seats. If you want the tickets we can meet at the game. You will have to sit next to me and my wife. We do shower and I think we smell fine! :-) We will be cheering the Sioux on as loud as we can in the sea of red. If you are interested we paid $24.50 per seat. Send me an e-mail and let me know. We will be leaving the Chicago area around 3:30PM and could meet in front of the Kohl Center to give you your tickets. Thanks, Scott
  11. That is Steve Kuhlman. I think that is his corporate jet too! I guess it is good to be the king eh?
  12. I think they should've given Retard Rather that helmet as a parting gift when he was shown the door at CBS. He would fit in well at NDSU!!
  13. I live in the Chicago area and noticed this on the front page of the Chicago Tribune website today in the sports section: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colle...i-sportsnew-hed
  14. I have an idea. If the NCAA continues to get their way with this issue, UND should show up to NCAA playoff games with standard Sioux jerseys with the Sioux logo and see how the NCAA treats the situation. Make this into a major sports story and nationally covered media event. Make the NCAA say that they wouldn't allow UND to play because they are hostile and abusive and see how the sports world would react to the NCAA.
  15. I was being serious, that is what it looked like to me.
  16. I hate to say this but the picture kinda looked like an old indian with back problems bending over and taking it up the butt by the guardsman behind him? Maybe I am too critical....
  17. It couldn't hurt but it sounds like it wouldn't change the fact that THE NCAA SUCKS!!!
  18. Does anyone else think this would be a worthwhile thing to do? I am assuming not since I didn't hear any comments back. Does that mean most of you think that the Sioux should be left out of this and that it is between UND and the NCAA now? Just curious.
  19. The good thing about this bill is that it doesn't just regulate the NCAA. It applies to all the other NCAA type organizations that govern college sports as well.
  20. IMO, #2 should not be an option. Home ice/field/court advantage is too important in tournaments plus hosting events provides a nice economic boost for GF. Has anyone at UND ever tried to get a petition signed by the actual Sioux members outside of the governing bodies of the Sioux nation? If UND was able to get overwhelming Sioux nation support via a signed petition, I think it would help our case with the NCAA. I am not anywhere near ND so this isn't something I could do but it seems like there should be someone up there working on something like this. Am I wrong?
  21. I had an interesting talk with my dad the other night. One of his female employees is a Sioux indian. While he was interviewing her they ended up talking about her heritage and it turned out that her grandfather is the picture you see on the highway patrol cars in ND. She brought pictures in to show my dad more and a coin with her grandfather's picture on it that the state patrol or ND government had given her grandfather. While they were talking about all of this stuff she ended up telling my dad that it is a great honor to have UND using the Sioux name and that the majority of Sioux support UND using the name.
  22. My dad was talking with Wayne Stenehjem last week and Wayne told him that this case is going to cost about $1 Million to prosecute.
  23. After reading this in the Illinois tennis thread: http://www.house.gov/apps/list/speech/il15...ief_5_4_06.html I feel like I have mud on my face now! I totally agree with what has been said in this link. I guess I have been a bit upset and saddened by the whole Sioux name issue and the things the NCAA has been doing. It caused me to wonder why UND would want to honor the Sioux by having their name and traditions associated with UND if they weren't helping UND more in the debate. I hope this new legislation helps UND keep the Sioux name without being penalized by the NCAA! I am going to shut up about the nickname issue now! Sorry for acting so crazy my fellow FIGHTING SIOUX fans!! I hope you will accept me back!!
  24. I am not sure what I think about UND doing this. It is kinda like saying, put your money where your mouth is fans. I am impressed by that part! On the other hand, UND makes a ton of money off using the Sioux name and logo with merchandising and ad revenue, etc... In my opinion, UND should be using that money to pay the legal fees because that money only exists because of the Sioux merchandise and corporate advertising UND gets using the Sioux name and logo. UND may also be trying to determine how much they are willing to spend to keep the name. They do have to be mindful of the fact they may have to change the name and there will be a ton of expenses involved in doing that as well. Or, maybe I have no clue what I am talking about but decided to provide a different perspective anyway!
