Major league baseall actually has a 40 man roster (25 man immediate roster) to take from with that expanding in September to bring up prospects and vets to help out or give the youngsters some experience. Basically all the Sioux guys are walk ons. Even the scholarship players earn little money. It really doesn't seem like that many to me. Especially when you consider that they have 18 freshman on the team. Many of the 40 on UND are redshirts.

Went to the Cubbies game last night. It started at about 9:30 because of rain. I sold a $46 bleacher tic for $5 because nobody was there. Jumped off the train and ran because I was an inning late and Maddux already had one strikeout. Got in in time to see #3,000. Pretty cool, the whole place lit up with camera flashes. Reminded me of the night I saw McGwire break the home run record. Technically it was when he hit #65 in Milwaukee, but that did break the previous record of 64 set by himself two days earlier. Stayed till the end of the game (1:15 am) and didn't get home until 1:45 am. Pretty fun still as there were quite a few people still there with me at the 1:30 mark. Too bad they had to lose in the 11th.

Yeah, stadium seating so much nicer! I just wonder why all the talk of so many new screens?

Gilbert, AZ. Yes, Chicago is dirty and nasty, however there are some perks. As I am heading over to sit in the bleachers for a Cubs-Giants game this evening, eagerly awaiting Greg Maddux's 3000th strikeout. I will hold out on pheasant season until I come back to ND over Christmas. Just South of New Salem is where I hunt and it is what I consider the best pheasant hunting land in the world. (although everyone considers their own to be) EDIT: I have an extra ticket if someone wants to fly up and go to the game tonight! Face value. Bleacher seats, the best atmosphere in the majors. Maddux goes for 3,000 Ks. The flight would probably only be about 5,000 to charter quickly. Good Luck. Hell, if someone flies up here I'll toss in an Old Style (in wax cup) for their troubles)

I have a better idea. How about instead of building 30 new theatres, they resurrect the one that really matters. You all know what I'm talking about too! Damn Golf Center

A well you should. I'm actually surprised that you don't know exactly what they are working on, as you seem to police every board on this site quite regularly? The piece on the players I believe would fall in the category of other stuff, which I said was decent. Yes, those players will love to watch that tape when they are older.

Program was a joke! I hate how they had to go with the idiots in the State Legislature and say that the state thinks Maris should still have the record. I mean come on people get over it. The record was beat 6 times in 4 years. Although, I've been watching the other states with the "local" frame of mind and get the feeling that they go in to every state with a pre-conceived notion of what it will be like and only try to reinforce those thoughts. I am ashamed that they did not call me and ask me what I thought they should show from my home state. I also wonder how many mistakes (like Phil-NDSU) they make that no one outside of that state even realizes. All in all, I thought it was pretty dumb and will not watch many of the others either.
