I was also at a Predators game two months ago and was surprised by the fan base. Not sure what it's like during a down year. Did run into at least three Sioux fans! However, I've been to 13 NHL arenas and have always run into at least one Sioux fan so I wasn't totally surprised.

I've been a Viking fan since the age of 5 and have learned to not get my hopes too high so 2009-10 didn't affect me like years prior. After the Darrin Nelson drop in the corner of the end zone in the 1987 NFC championship game followed by the 1998 gong show, and then the NY Giant beat down in 2000, I keep myself pretty grounded with low expectations. The 2010 NFC title game I metally prepared myself all week for a big letdown. The Vikings didn't disappoint...

I don't think 2 point conversions can be returned in the NFL like in college.

One of the worst games was January 21, 2011 against Omaha. Down 7-1 after the second period. One of the best was October 17, 2003 against Boston College. Sioux scored 4 goals in the 3rd to win 6-4.

Mott and Regent played district tournaments in Bowman in the 80s and early 90s. Not sure what district that was.
