  1. LOVE IT!!!! I bet it puts a smile on Jim's face!!
  2. I think he's the guy that confiscated a sign I made and gave to a student in the lower bowl of the student section. It was really cute. It had cute little yellow chickens all over it and it said, "Cheep, Cheap, Punkobitch!" I don't know why he confiscated it.
  3. Unclicked ignore to read what you were talking about. I should have known! Same ol', same ol'. Back on ignore.
  4. Everybody's standing and loud!! Just as it should be in a close OT game against the #1 team in the country.
  5. God Bless, YaneA. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
  6. My son and his GF were walking by when the back and forth jawing was going on. He didn't see the fight but said both sides were doing their share of trash talk.
  7. I thought they stopped showing them to avoid riots in the stands?!?
  8. Yep. *I deleted the peeing part. I don't have that option. *
  9. Not only is there lack of consideration among some but they have an overly exaggerated sense of entitlement as well. When you have spent as much money supporting the Fighting Sioux athletic program as some of those fans who still attend the games and are 'too old' to stand, come back with your bull shat. Until then, try having a bit of respect for your fellow fan.
  10. As it does for all of us. No one in my section is going to ream you a new one for that. It's the inconsiderate, "I paid for this seat and can stand all I want", A-holes who are going to get a new one.
  11. I've noticed that more in this forum than anywhere else!
  12. Atmosphere? The ef bomb is atmosphere? I pay for my SEAT just as you do. AND, I have the right to watch the game from that seat. I and everyone around me stands when the play on the ice is exciting but standing during an entire game is NOT a right you have when you pay for your seat. Paying for your SEAT does not give you the right to stand and block my view for no apparent reason other than you feel like standing during the game. If the play indeed was a nail biting one, than the person who told you to sit down was wrong. So, you blame the atmosphere at the Ralph on the Code of Conduct? Bull Shat!! I blame it on fans who lack the imagination, initiative and desire to come up with cheers other than a continuous 'ef the whoevers' chant. I challenge you and evryone vetching about the 'lack of atmosphere' to initiate cheers at the Ralph that do not include the ef word or other profanities. Make them up and print flyers to give to everyone at the game. Tell ya what, I'll even pay for the flyers.
  13. My seats are in section 113, lower bowl. When there's a big play we stand, we cheer, we sing the national anthem, and most of us are old farts. The ef word slips my lips on occasion but I don't chant it. If someone wants to stand for the sake of standing, we tell 'em to sit down! Sadly, I don't know what's going on in those seats the past 3 seasons. My son and his gf are enjoying them as I travel around living amongst whales, eagles and bears. Ok, not now but last season.... .
  14. I agree with all of this except, 'We will cheer for the Sioux, not against our oppponents'. Does this mean we can no longer do the 'arm point' and sieve chant??
  15. I don't think we need a new thread for this. I received this email and thought I'd share it with my fellow SS.com members. UND Athletics And Ralph Engelstad Arena Address Fan Behavior Initiatives In an effort to continue to make Fighting Sioux men's hockey games the best fan experience in college hockey, the University of North Dakota and Ralph Engelstad Arena have combined to institute some new fan initiatives. "After much public discussion through e-mails surveys of our season ticket holders and communication with our students, we feel we have put together some measures that will enhance the atmosphere at our home men's hockey games," said UND Athletics Director Brian Faison. "The overriding sentiment from our fans is that they love the energy in the building, but we need to make sure the passion of all of our fans is directed in a positive fashion." To that end, several steps will be taken this weekend for the home men's hockey series against St. Cloud State and additional measures will be implemented throughout the remainder of the 2009-10 home men's hockey season and beyond. Some of the initiatives that will be implemented include a series of positive sportsmanship videos on the scoreboard, communication and enforcement of the new University of North Dakota and Ralph Engelstad Arena Fan Code Of Conduct, proactive alcohol enforcement measures and increased promotion of the Guest Help Line. The Ralph Engelstad Arena's Guest Help Line allows fans to text or call the Ralph Engelstad Arena Guest Services department during a game to report the location of inappropriate behavior. "We feel it's in the best interest of all parties to continue to create a positive, safe and enjoyable atmosphere in the building," said Ralph Engelstad Arena General Manager Jody Hodgson. "We're committed to improving the fan experience
  16. Goldy is a girly-man. Franz: Poor little girly-man, alone in his girly-house!
  17. Nope, nothing wrong with them. I just wish the one I was scheduled to fly out of Hancock on Sunday actually did fly out of Hancock. Maybe you can answer a question for me> why aren't the planes checked out after they land when they aren't flying out until the next morning? Everytime I've had a flight delayed or cancelled, it has always been the first scheduled flight out and the problem was found after we were all on board!
  18. I'm hoping to be there as well. It's my weekend to work but I'm trying to change with someone who wants the Christmas week end off. I'm also hoping to get to Cornell.
  19. Made me blush when I saw it! ( )
  20. I should have just stayed and hung out with you and the family! For sure we'll do it again!
