  1. If you were in my neck of the woods, we could go bowling or something when the Sioux play, guarenteed win for the Sioux!!
  2. Next week's series is going to be exciting!!
  3. Are we tied with CC for 5th or are we up a point?
  4. WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!! A big thank you to YaneA for keeping me updated via text messaging. I stayed off line and we won as predicted!!!!
  5. Couldn't hurt and if you could arrange for a hen and her chicks to wander into the Ralph before game time that would be awesome!! The Irish swear this brings good luck to the house. Remember the chicken on the ice at the old Ralph? Find that guy to help you.
  6. YES!!! Oh wait, I don't know if the bad mojo extends to text messages. OK, here's what we do, start it but if the Dwags get even one goal ahead of us, stop the texts. Check your PM, I'll be sending you my info.
  7. LOL, you got that right!! AND, thanks for the tape! I got it yesterday, was all set to watch it.....no VCR! I cried, I laughed, and ,now, I will be checking out the thrift stores for a VCR.
  8. My house is in Grand Forks but I'm working in the Cinicinatti area right now. My son and his gf check on the house when they're in town for a hockey game but who knows what is going to happen. I'll be home for a few days before heading to the F5 and will try to take some precautions but if it hits there's very little I can do. I didn't refinish the basement after 1997. I only had the house for 10 months and didn't want to borrow any more money. So I have enough insurance to fix the electrical stuff and replace the furnace, central air, w/d, etc. The clean up, if needed, will be the issue. I know we're suppose to be safe but I trust more in the powers of Mother Nature than man. Cinicinatti is getting a record amount of snow this year as is everywhere else! It freezes than thaws. The ground gets really wet and mushy. When I took my dog for a walk a couple of weeks ago, I had to stay on the street. My boots were almost sucked off by the mush! I felt like I was in a swamp. It's been frozen for about a week now but warm weather yesterday and today will create some thaw and more mushy ground. I heard there's another storm coming....
  9. Just bought my flood insurance. I'm a 'preferred risk' so it only cost $326. I just hope if it's going to flood, it holds off for at least 30 days.
  10. I'm guessing that they're not related. The media would be making a big deal of it if they were. Lamoureaux is actually a pretty common last name up Canada way.
  11. We all know that the 'Blundering Herd' (I like that) has gotten the most National attention of any ND team. The Olympics are International and we all know that doesn't count.
  12. Thanks for the update! Every time I see 'Jenny Potter', I do a double take because I first read Jenny Porter!
  13. Perhaps, but only if their team is playing.
  14. When you go to the Final Five and the Frozen Four they are sold out!! There are fans from every WCHA team at the XCel even if their team isn't playing and that goes for the Frozen Four as well! College hockey fans love the game and pay big bucks to watch those games year after year.....
  15. Judging from the caravan of vehicles heading to GF from Fargo every Friday and Saturday during our home games, I know that Fargo's number one popular sport is FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY!!!
  16. AD HOMINEN! But, I'll bite. Please post the proof you have that UND owns the Alerus and is funded by UND money. The proof of Slick Joe stealing misappropriating abusing living beyond his means and taking NDSU money that should have been used for the school/students and not for his and his families self interests to do it is well documented.
  17. How many NDSU athletes have been in the Olympics? I can only think of one. Compare that with the many, many UND grads, students and potential students who have been iand are in the Olympics. Not only does UND get more national attention but we also get more International attention and MENTION!
  18. WCHA gets loads more attention and fan support than any team in the Summit.
  19. I doubt that more sports fans have heard of the Summit than have heard of the WCHA.
  20. Until recently, I never heard of the Summit. Wonder why that is?
  21. I'm working in Ohio for a few months. Last week I ran after a man with a Sioux shirt on to say hi! He is a Kentuckian who worked as a consultant in GF a few years ago. He loves Sioux hockey and said he has turned more than a few of his friends on to FS hockey. I travel a lot for work and have run into Fighting Sioux fans in every state I've worked in. They're easily spotted as they wear their Sioux gear proudly. Outside of ND and MN, I have yet to run into a visible NDSU fan. Go figure.....
  22. I just read your avatar sign!
