If the cheerleaders aren't being cut out completely, I don't think Title IX will apply but I don't know for sure.
-
Or as the trophy reads, 'Prp Pops Punk'

I sent Mike a 'congratulations' note on his 13th goal and a shorty at that!! I got a nice message back from him. I don't think he'll mind if I share it. I love the last two sentences!! We miss you too, Mike!!! Keep on doing what you do best and we'll keep on watching and cheering you on!!!

Checked, the email notification is not in my junk folder either.

I'm glad he's staying. I think he needs another year, maybe two, in the WCHA. We have to start feeding him raw meat and poking him with sticks to make him mean! Except when he does check anyone, he gets called for an 'elbow' 'cause he's so much bigger than anyone else!!

When I worked in Fargo, my dog would be in the house ten hours without going outside. When I got home, even though his eyes would be swimming, we had a routine that we had to go through before he would run out side to do his business. He would put his front two paws on my forearm and I would scratch him behind the his ears and tell him how much I missed him and what a wonderful dog his was. If we didn't go through this, he would not go outside and he would stay in front of me so if I tried walking away from him I had to climb over him or trip over him. I love my dog. He's been with me longer than my ex-husband was.

That may be true for some of the defectors but many have left the Altru system to become independent (which is damn hard when you're not getting referrals) and have stayed in the community or have moved to other communities within driving distance of GF or have joined the Aurora group or the EGF group. I know this group is aware of this but there are still some altruistic (sic) folks out there who believe medicine is a 'calling' like the ministry. Sorry to disillusion anyone, but it's become an 'anything for a buck' enterprise. MEDICINE IS A BILLIONS OF DOLLARS A YEAR BUSINESS!!!! Altru doesn't want anyone cutting into their profits!!!

There are a zillion dogs running around the rez. I have yet to be bothered by their barking. On the other hand, my immediate neighbors have 'saved' about 20 dogs and are in an enclosed yard. Those dogs are set off by a tumble weed blowing across the road!! Like right now!!! I'd hock my car to get all of them shock collars, their owners too!!.
-
Can you say M-O-N-O-P-O-L-Y?? The number of quality doctors who have left Altru in the past few years is in the upper double digits. Ever wonder why they left?

The Scorpions win game #7 to win the playoffs against the Sundogs!! 3-2 The Scorpions radio announcer is soooo into the game!!! Try to image this guy screaming himself hoarse!!
-
So it makes him depressed?
-
Do those work? Since I've been gone, my ol' dog is barking way more than the neighbors are happy about and isn't listening to the house sitter.

If you do manage to convince the parents, call the Ralph and arrange a tour. If you tell them your from out of town and are bringing a bunch of little hockey guys, they may give you special consideration if you're not going to be here on a scheduled tour day or time. If there's a hockey game when you come, also check if there are tickets available for your whole group.

Using Wikipedia as you 'source' isn't going to get you any 'cred' around here.
-
No, that's ok, I'll take your word for it!!
-
Why? Not being a smart ass here, I really want to know.

So you don't see a connection? All news services are dependent on money from advertisers/donors. If a money source doesn't like the way the news is presented or doesn't like the news, should the news service change the facts even though it's the wrong thing to do? If they don't, they don't get money and then they can't present the news anyway. You're saying that we are subject to the money sources views on what is 'good news' and what is 'unacceptable news. The NC$$ is telling some institutions of higher learning what is 'hostile or abusive' in names. logos, mascots. If we don't agree with them, we don't get to play in their post season games unless we change. We don't change, we can't play. We change, we are agreeing with their opinion on what is 'hostile or abusive'. Is that the public opinion and free market talking or money?
-
Why are you assuming that UND has something to hide? The NC$$ is requesting information that is not connected to the lawsuit. The information that the NC$$ does not want made public is connected to the case. Just go and look at the NC$$'s history of litigations. Their consistent methods are to drag the lawsuits out as long as possible and to rack up legal fees. What to know what I think? No? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway. In addition to many other 'tricks up their sleeves', I think the NC$$ hopes to bankrupt the legal defense fund and win by default. But then, that's just my opinion.

Will there be a game-used jersey and equipment auction this year?

I'm still in Arizona, Dirty. But maybe I can bid on line. Just let me know which one you want, OK? -
I know that these are not stories about the Sioux name. But I believe they are about the same issue. It's getting so a person can't say, think, or do anything anymore without having it ok'd by 'the powers that be'. In today's news a high school English teacher's job on the line because as school newspaper advisor she allowed a piece on tolerance. The tolerance was for gay students. The article was not about homosexuality but about tolerance. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18268259/ A college professor was fired from his job because while speaking of the VT tragedy because he demonstrated that the gunman could have been stopped if someone else had a gun. IMHO, his demonstration was not in good taste but to fire him!?!?! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18275938/?GT1=9246 My opinion on the Imus issue is that he is a jack ass. But should he have been fired?!? This makes me think, not. http://media.www.themichiganjournal.com/me...ollegeheadlines

I'm starting to see a pattern here. There are some people who think that the boys got off easy. Maybe as far as the University goes, maybe. I don't know what the policy is for this type of offense. Are non-athletes kicked out of school? Have other coaches suspended their players for committing the same offense? It seems that the internal ramifications for the offense will remain internal. Much as our curiosity is wanting to know ALL, it seems reasonable that UND does what many other schools do in this case, keep it behind closed doors. As far as the legal system, I don't see where they got away with anything. There seems to be a double standard here folks. Some think that because they got the same punishment that any other minor gets it's somehow not enough because they're who they are. If the legal system and Hak are satisfied with the punishments, so am I. BUT, I gotta tell ya because they posted the reports would be made public, I still am waiting for those reports that Hockeydude and Yttrium posted about.
