MN keys in my humble opinion. 1. Don't dink around with the puck in the defensive zone. In other words, get the puck out of the zone whenever possible. Three of UMD's goals were a direct result of poor clearing by MN. 2. Get traffic in front of UND net/goalie - Score ugly & shoot often. 3. Remain calm. When MN starts running - especially in the d-zone - around it's all over for them.

Good luck tomorrow. I told my dad after one we had no business being down only one and if you had told me MN would put up 7 I would had called the looney bin. The MN goal at the end of the 1st really seemed to take the wind out of UMD's sails. edit - update your sig!

The D-POY perplexes me. How does a WCHA 2nd teamer get it over Bruckler, Ballard or Geisler? It's not a big deal, I would just assume whomever gets that award would also be on the first team.

Two games against the yutes from 'bama-Hutsville surely doesn't make us grit worthy.

It was - UW v. CC I think we got about 8-10 inches that night. I was there (we brought my son's mite team) and there was maybe 6-7K there. Tickets sold versus actual bodies.

I have no idea what BSU will be like next year, but they were very good this year and gave MN a couple of good games. You may be pleasantly surprised by that weekend of hockey. I also think it's great for programs like MN & UND to schedule BSU. BTW - When did UND get appointed as the official WCHA ambassadors to Canisius?

I originally brought up the "cheap" argument. Isn't it necessary for companies that produce live TV events to buy and/or lease satellite time to air its programs? I am far from an expert on television production issues such as this, but I imagine cannot be cheap to do procure satellite time. Maybe someone has more experience than I in this field would enlighten me?

I agree. Maybe someone here can help me. I thought I saw in the MN tourney program that Breckenridge and Whapaton had a cooperative team. Is this true? At tourney time do they play MN or ND? Thanks.

Classiest move I've seen in a long time happened during the handshake line: Warroad coach Cary Eades hands the puck from the GWG to the Orono player who got the goal. I imagine Eades must have fished the puck out of the net specifically to give it to the kid. To think of that when he was probably (justifiably) POed at the outcome showed me a lot. Very, very classy. Where did Eades play in college again?

Other than the rules laid out by the Sicatoka UND is under no obligation to accommodate MTU...and if MTU isn't happy, take Hwy 2 east and practice at home like everyone else is doing.

I would suggest this place! BTW - They have cheap beer and the best Coney's in the Twin Cities - so I'm only half kidding.
