Depends what you are looking for regarding food/atmosphere. There are several great places to eat across Rice Park from the X: Kincaids, Pazzaluna, & The St. Paul Grill to name three. I would recommend going to this site for more information.

From what they said on the pregame, the decision was made by Ryan and his family and the coaches were supportive of whatever decision was made. Who can blame a kid for wanting to get back in the action? I'm happy to have him back if this is what he wants....plus we need his presence in the lineup.

I take it you're not a fan of the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. It's a great place for a confirmed (golf) hacker like to me spend a week. Drove by the casino back and forth to the airport, but didn't want to ruin my perfect record of never entering a casino. 75 and sunny during the winter months is perfect for me, but I agree it's intolerable in the summer. No, I didn't visit the prison.....is that where I would have found you?

Generally, Lucia's teams don't fall that far behind in NCAA championship games. He's found it much easier to play with a lead or only be behind by a goal or so. BTW - I'm a relatively sane person and there is no way I'd trade Lucia for Blais. Does that mean I don't like Blais? Hell no, I have tremendous respect for him and the UND program. Both Lucia & Blais are in the elite of the elite group of NCAA coaches. Our teams are fortunate to have these two gentlemen behind our respective benches. Here are the top current coaches IMO. Thanks PCM - I've been in (paying attention WPoS / AKA dinner party guy? ) Palm Desert, CA for a week of sun, golf, and general laziness. With the Gophers taking a SCSU like swoon my enthusiasm has not been very high so I've been lurking some and posting little. Congrats on your impending WCHA title.

The teeth? It's a no-loose choice IMO. Both good guys, good recruiters, & outstanding coaches. Blais may have the advantage, being a MN alum and all.

I only saw Friday's game in its entirety, but had the same observation. MN looked frazzled to have someone on them so quickly. UMD also did a good job getting traffic in front of the net. As for the game Friday, MN just gave up, that was their fault. Gooning it up certainly didn't help. Add in a hungry, disiplined, and talented UMD team and you have the recipe for a rout. Hard to compete when you have your heads up your..... MN seamed to have a little jump on Saturday (I only saw 1/2 of the 1st period) and were beat by a team that is clearly better. BTW Dogz - congrats on a well earned sweep and good luck the rest of the way - I'd love to see UMD win the league. This though, I'm sure, will go over like a fart in church here.

One season with a swoon does not make a JBSU. You guys ran into a very hungry and POed (Thank you very much!) UW team. UND will be fine.
