Ok I didn't see it. What happened on the "holding" call that resulted in stitches? BTW - I've said for several years the WCHA is quickly becoming the professional wrastlin' of college hockey. Literally, I've seen refs look at something, see it happen, then turn away like it never happened. It's sad for our sport.

Ok, I can't find any reference to this, but my grandpa used to say "luck is the point where hard work and preparation meet." He always credited the quote to former UCLA coach John Wooden. Is this originally Wooden's quote? I don't know but I always liked it and it seems similar to what Eaves what trying to say.

Congrats to Team USA. It's really great that college coaches have bought into allowing players to play for their country. They really could be dinks about if the wanted to. Listening to the Canadian announcers trying to figure out where Thief River Falls is located was hilarious.

Yes - at least 85% sure. Urban legand probably. At the time I was POed, it seemed and was a stupid thing to do; even if it was a set-up. My dad called me from work when he found out and I guess there were a lot of complaints to the MN athletic department. After 5-6 beers it probably seemed funnier than hell.

That was a set-up. It was Saturday Goldy shooting at Friday Goldy dressed as a Badger fan. One of the Goldy's was the son of on of my dad's coworkers.
