If they are going to look at video after the game to give out penalties ... why not just get rid of the officials ... tape every game ... have the officials watch the game afterwords and hand out the penalties then? Seems like the "common sense" thing to do when the officials on the ice can't make the correct call.

While I like the idea of a boycott ... I just don't think it would make much of a dent. Are there enough people for the Sioux name that go to the casino on a regular basis that wouldn't go to really impact the bottom line?

Boy . . . does that bring back memories. I remember when that video came out . . . still have it somewhere on VHS with the Championship game. Well ... with Lennon leaving out of the blue when we thought he was solid though 2010 ... I guess anything could happen. I just wish UND would throw away the bad apple .... that being Philip Alan Harmeson. Has anything good happened since he has been associated with athletics ... or for UND for that matter? Ask anyone on campus and if they are off the record they would say Harmeson is a cancer. The guy is a kissazz and his position was invented out of thin air for him ... As long as he is in ANY WAY associated with athletics (heck ... maybe all of UND) he will continue to be the albatross around UND's neck. I am really sick of all this bad news coming from the university ... moral is at an all time low ... we have idiots in charge that can't make a decision ... a lame duck president who is never on campus and doesn't actually know (or probably care) what his subordinates are doing ... alot of overpaid vice presidents ... and a hockey team that can't win on Saturday nights at home. Where's the Tylenol ....

Why ruin the golf course? Ray Richards is set up not to make a profit. Any money that it does make goes directly into the general fund of the University. "Isn't a championship course by any stretch." Just how many 9 hole college owned golf courses in the U.S. are "championship" caliber courses? Ray Richards was donated to be utilized by the students/staff/faculty of U.N.D. and the public ... not Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. "The cross country course set up there leaves MUCH to be desired for the runners." Correct me if I am wrong ... but it is a golf course first ... cross country course second .... right? Or do you think that when they convert it to an "athletics campus" they will bring in the heavy equipment and create a "Cross Country" course with seating mounds for your maybe one meet a year. Remember U.N.D. is going DI ... so cross country meets in Grand Forks are probably going to be few and far between ... if any. "I doubt there would be much fuss." I hope you are wrong ... though there are a lot of golfers in Grand Forks that probably would agree with you (sadly) ... but after Ray Richards is an "athletics campus" and golfers in town are left with only Lincoln (very short course), Kings Walk (Do you think their prices will go up .... most certainly!), G.F. Country Club (Private, out of reach money wise for most golfers in town) and Valley in EGF (9 good holes, 9 holes with a dike running through them) there might be more golfers than you think that would miss Ray Richards. Just one man's opinion ... and an honest one at that

What a wild ride since Christmas! Who would have guessed that it would have ended that way ... NO EXCUSES ... we flat got beat. To give up the empty netter the way the Sioux did ... whoa .... wouldn't want to be around when when Hak chews butt on that one. Any way ... hopefully Dunc can win the Hobey and salvage something from this weekend. ... and now we get to see who stays and who goes ... which is always exciting. Go Sioux! Well ... 3 steps forward and 2 steps back for the this team .... unreal that this had to happen at this time. This is the kind of thing that destroys all the momentum that this team worked so hard to achive ... I hope it doesn't happen ... but I think it will be hard for the team to recover from this and make a push to post season.
