This is beginning to sound like the JFK assasination and everyone is veiwing the Zepruder(sp?) film over and over again Either way I will give credit where credit is due. I was at the game and the UoM out-played the Sioux and deserved the W. HOWEVER: I would have loved to hear what one of our guys said to Taylor as he was kneeling on the ice pretending to be hurt after a hit (think it resulted in a penalty on the Sioux) . . . he was milking the "injury" for all it was worth and when our guy skated past . . . Taylor jumped up and went after the Sioux player . . . Funny as all-get-out . . . you gotta hand it to Lucia; those Acting 101 classes he has his players take are paying off, I guess

UND is dealing with it . . . it's people like you that post stuff like this that aren't. What . . . nothing to talk about on your board . . . I heard the season ticket package for home bison football games is going to be somewhere around $20 . . . any truth to that Sioux envy is a horrible thing . . . that is why I am PROUD to the a fan of the THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA.

I get a kick out of all you bison fans . . . you've been DI for what .15 nanoseconds and you think that NDSU is the be-all-end-all of DI. So our coaches are leaving for other head coaching positions . . . that is inevitable in any program . . . big deal. Will it hurt the Sioux? . . . that is yet to be determined . . . but you coming on here stating the obvious is just part of why I despise you, your fans, your atheletes and coaches at your "little DI" school. So go back to your bisonville board and have tony change your diaper and put the DI pacifier back in your mouth and have him rub your head and tell you that "we're DI, we're DI" . . . and then you can go to sleep and dream about doing well in DI. I sit in Section 110 and I thought the students did/do an excellent job cheering and standing when appropriate. There are still a few season ticket holders that give you guys grief . . . but I think the vast majority of the season ticket holders would say the students are doing a terrific job this year and they appreciate the effort . . . myself being one of them . . . and for that I say Thank You to the students in section 108 and 109! I think the whole "reminder" thing came about because there were two older gentleman sitting in front of me (On Friday night) and it was their first time at the Ralph. They were getting on the students for standing . . . to the point of getting in some of the students faces and slapping one student on the shoulder. This guy took it too far . . . to the point that he had us telling him to let up and explaining the situation to him. Another season ticket holder behind me even asked him to leave so the rest of us could enjoy the game! One of the guys (the more vocal one) I think either moved or was tossed from the game because he wasn't in his seat in the third period. I wanted to respond just so you know that the students do have a few friends in section 110 . . . and to say Thank You again for the effort!!

I was just wondering . . . is the supposed contract that NDSU wants UND to sign a home and home or is it just for 2 games in the FargoRoof? If it is the later then I can see why UND wouldn't do it . . . it would only benefit NDSU and the FargoRoof. Personally . . . I think NDSU needs this rivalry to continue worse then UND does . . . if not for the only reason to sell-out the FargoRoof any time in the near future for a game that "matters". Just my opinion . . .

I read the article this morning also. I am just wondering why something like this is in the paper? If Blais has a gripe about contract negotiations why say something to the paper and not go in and talk to Thomas? Don't get me wrong . . . Blais is THE coach at UND . . . but from the way it sounds the other coaches don't have their contracts yet because Thomas said that they are in the process of being evaluated. Granted Blais' resume speaks for itself . . . but why gripe to the paper when you don't get your way instead of going to your boss first? Then again . . . maybe he did go to Thomas first . . . but this going to the paper should be below Blais . . . am I wrong?

That is precisely what I am saying U2Bad1 . . . the upper-classmen could have gone over and told the newer students about it. There could have even been something in the Dakota Student . . . something at least. Let me put it this way . . . an older person going up to a college student and telling him to do something will go in one side and out the other . . . but having a member of the Green Hairem (or some other students) speak to them it may have sunk in.

Having read all of the posts . . . there are some good ones . . . I'd like to add my opinion. Way back when the students and the athletic department had their "negotiations" about the seating both came to the understanding that the students would sit down and only stand up on Sioux power(less ) plays. That worked for all of about 10 minutes as the students in section 109 began standing the whole game. A lot of blame is being put on REA and the athletic department . . . but some of the blame has to be put on those students that wanted to buck the system and stand the whole game. It had to be a forgone conclusion that if even some of the students didn't want to sit down . . . the whole student section would be moved. Blame the REA and UND all you want . . . but the fact is that the students didn't live up to their end of the deal and stand only during power(less ) plays. I caught some flak on this board and on USCHO saying that the students should have policed themselves . . . told those students what could happen if they don't sit down . . . now the students as a whole are paying for it. I have seats in section 110 . . . and you have no idea how happy I am going to be not having to watch the DAK-TRONICS for half of the game. Again . . . just my biased opinion . . . sorry.

oly1 . . . Yes . . . they did look that bad . . . maybe even worse. Do they have a chance of winning two in a row? If the answer lies in how they played tonight . . . no. If the answer lies in how they responded to losing (stupid penalties, undisciplined play) . . . no. If the answer lies in how down Blais sounded on the radio (not mad surprisingly . . . but very down on the team as a whole) . . . no. Let's face it . . . this team is on the ropes. Only how they respond tomorrow in the first five minutes of period one will tell if they have the desire to win . . . other wise it will be 1 . . . .2 . . . . .3 . . . . .. 4 . . . . .. .... 5 . . . ... 6 . .. . . . you get the picture.

Everybody . . . I have been going to Sioux home hockey games for about 20 years now . . . and tonight was by far the ugliest display by a Sioux team I have witnessed. I have no idea . . . no clue what-so-ever . . . of what team I just watched lose . . . because previous Sioux teams (even last year) . . . played with more emotion . . . more cohesiveness . . . more poise . . . then this team played with tonight. This is unacceptable. Listening to Blais after the game . . . just the tone of his voice . . . I think this team is in serious trouble with no solution in sight. I cannot believe that I am typing these words . . . about a Sioux hockey team . . . from the coaches on down I think this team has given up . . . and people . . . that is sad. Unacceptable . . . period.
