He played good on Saturday night in Houghton...I wouldn't say great. To me, he seemed gassed often, my guessing is because he hasn't played lately. He had one good opportunity, but it was at the end of his shift and he didn't get much on it. He also got stuck down low trailing the play a few times. He deserves to play this weekend, just not on the 2nd line IMO.

You don't spend close to, or over, $1 million dollars on lawyers to agree on a settlement like this. It's just inexcusable. You don't fight for 2 years and then agree to give up the name in the next 3. It just doesn't make sense. Hopefully there will be some vote amongst the members tomorrow and realize how silly this settlement agreement would be. Another thing: What does removal of some of the Sioux logos in the REA mean? Every other section? Every Other Row? No Logo at center ice? If UND agrees to that, it better have an inside track on getting the tribes support.

To answer your questions: No and No. The stadium itself is in residential-type area on campus, it's just off of Woodland Ave. The only restaurant/bar I can think of that's near-by is called Bulldog's(?)...Haven't been there yet so I can't tell you much. Your best bet and closest spot is downtown(go figure). It's only about 2-3 miles from the stadium and you have Grandma's Restaurants, Old Chicago, Green Mill, Hell's Kitchen.

I'd appreciate a list of the "hot spots" in Houghton, Michigan on SiouxSports.com Friday morning before I take off from Duluth.

Thursday morning? Are you taking the scenic route through Omaha? It's not that long of a car ride.

Not that I'm a computer expert, but a possibility on the poor connection: I always try to minimize my computer's effort. For example, when I watch the game, I don't surf the web/play games/anything extra that might bog my computer down. The more your computer has to think, the patchier the connection seems to get for me. Anyways, that's just a shot in the dark and a potential possibility. For what it's worth, I live in Duluth and had zero problems with the connection last night, or any hockey game this year so far.

Ok, now that the week has come, how many people are actually making the trip? I have 4 in my party, plus Al's bus. How many are on the bus? Who else is going?

1-1 UMD and SCSU with 2:15 to go in the 1st. UPDATE:: 2-1 UMD with 1:25 to go in 1st after a backhander from a UMD player went off the SCSU defender and in.

When UND is playing shorthanded for 12 out of the first 40 minutes, it makes it pretty tough to get into offensive flow. We are a great 5 X 5 team, against any team we can gain an advantage when we're able to throw all 4 lines out there. When you take penalties, it just take its toll.

Martens has an assist on our only goal, so what's the beef with Martens? He can obviously hold his own.

Michigan State played their exhibition game tonight against Windsor and won 6-0. Didn't seem like much of a contest as they outshot Windsor 48-11, and didn't allow a shot on goal in the final period. That's gotta be almost impossible to do.

It means that students didn't buy all of their allotted tickets and as of Monday there was 700 available to the public. They're fair game now.

Here's my question: Let's say this weekend's game is 31-28 (OT) just for the sake of making a score. Does a 1-Loss team stay above an undefeated GVSU or dropped down to 3?

Ok, so the video worked awesome tonight for the hockey game. No glitches on my computer throughout the entire game. Just a question, who out there watched tonight's hockey game and has also watched a men's football game? Is it possible that UND finally figured out their problem(s)?

How does it look so far? I might by it, but wanna see if it's better than the football games first.
