gf already had to pay back funds that were not properly used. How about the new fb turf that was due for replacement in 98 that was 90% funded by fema. The list could go on and on but at this point who cares.

Nothing is clouded - just read the article and what it said. Those dii schools you are talking about are in the middle of DI conferences - different story in ND SD. Granted NDSU and SDSU getting into a conference will help UND and scsu if they want to join later on, but most of the UND posts here have been saying that UND will be asked either before NDSU or with NDSU and SDSU. This article pretty much tells a different story. You are right about one thing, never say never.

You can spin it anyway you want. The fact remains that UND is never going to be asked to join a conference while it's still dii.

What UND does or doesn't do with the DI move will have little bearing on NDSU either way.

I'm sure that's stopping a lot of dii schools that are looking at DI.

If SDSU and NDSU go to the Mid Con then the DI question at UND is dead. The BSC has to act fast, which I hope they do but I wouldn't bet on it. No DI conference is going to pick up 1 school located in ND with no travel partner. Then again both conferences might sit back and wait and see what shakes out. It's going to be an interesting 2 months.

The number 1 reason that UND didn't go DI when NDSU did is they were very happy with DI hockey and dii with everything else. As long as NDSU was dii, life was GOOD. You can list all the reasons you want but UND never gave moving to DI in all sports a thought when NDSU did. Hence all the comments from UND's coaches and athletic dept. when NDSU announced their move.

Kupchella on WDAY sports - sounded like he would only go DI for individual sports. Not sure what conference would accept only fb & bb and nothing else?
