As I mentioned a couple of weeks back, Montreal were going to sign one of their young college D-men this summer based on the results of their prospects camp. Today Michigan learned that they are the victim: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=243605&...s=headlines_nhl

A tough challenge playing D in front of Briggs though. Good Luck Kyle.

This may not be the end of the Gopher or Badger early departures. Montreal has to reload their farm team D-corps ASAP and depending no how Rookie Camp goes the Montreal media is reporting that they could place alot of pressure on McDonagh or Fischer to sign.

Mike Commodore is now a Blue Jacket with a 5 year contract worth $18.75M. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=11353&am...topRelated_main

If it weren't for his injury Toews would have been on the Team Canada that recently won gold and an invitation to this camp and a higher draft pick would have resulted. If enough junior age players stick with their NHL clubs and he has a good start with the Sioux watch for him to still be a late invite to join the team. Otherwise there are just too many talented 19 year old players available to both Team Canada and Team USA.

I am just glad the Sioux didn't waste their time on Novotny, which some on this site had suggested. He has bailed on Denver and will be playing Major Junior in the WHL. The Dasher Troll is having a really bad year before it even begins.

I guess they were supposed to let their bladders burst instead. I think Chief Wiggum and his staff should spend more of their time dealing with real crimes. Is there a Gopher Jersey hanging in the Chief's closet?
-
Nope, nothing happened that was worthy of a fight. My last post was intended to indicate that I thought it was best to back away from the confusion.

Unforutnately the other details including the birthday are exactly the same.

Okay, then thanks for posting it again I guess.

I was being sarcastic. Check out post 4623 and a post that was earlier than yours on the roster page.

The coaching staff certainly must know that Malone is gone by now and this is probably the explanation for Fienhage coming in as well this coming season. I guess this means that Genoway will pretty much be a winger this coming season. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Nice piece of detective work there Sherlock.

Someone must know Malone's status in GF by now. Halifax released that practice roster over two weeks ago.
-
Has Malone left the team for the QMJHL per this link to the 2008 Halifax practice roster. Does anyone know? http://www.lhjmq.qc.ca/lang_en/index.php?p...sortByMode=DESC
-
He is also listed on the Moosehead's training camp roster with Brad Malone: http://www.lhjmq.qc.ca/lang_en/index.php?p...sortByMode=DESC Did Malone have academic problems?

You are correct about Bickell. He will be so busy running from Hextall he won't have time to worry about Finley.

Clearly some posters to this thread have been drinking Happy juice. Plain and simple, Wheeler is the second coming of Jason Bonsignore. For those of you who are too young to remember this other flash in the pan, search him out on the internet.

Spokane is about to win the CHL title and will likely be thrilled that you decided that they are now part of Canada

I don't know anything about this Rapunzel character and since he was with the Goofs I don't even care to know. I only have to ask if GPL is dead again because this thread seems to have attracted all of the Skippies. To whoever started it well done.

Well for starters it isn't in Quebec. Bring up a Map of New Brunswick and look at the Northeast corner to find Moncton.

For those of you who can get TSN they have switched from the Royal Bank Cup to the World Cup game between the US and Finland. Still 0-0 half way through the first period. Team USA went deep sea fishing yesterday and apparently both Parise and Kessel got sea sick. Kessel seems to fine as scored to make it 2-0 USA near the end of the second period. Update: International officiating strikes again as Finland gets awarded their first goal on a shot that clearly went in through the side of the net. The young US squad were adversely impacted by this call and went on to lose 3-2. The game ended in a bench clearing brawl that saw Backes absolutely destroy a Finn's beak. He and the Finn are suspended. Matt Greene may miss USA's next game as he was picked up for being the first player off of his bench.
