I just felt that his quick response deserved some kind of recognition.

Give him a chance to honk his rodent horn and he is always just there waiting in the weeds.

It may be Elton's song but it is performed by the Canadian band Nickelback. You can hear it every Saturday night to kick off Hockey Night in Canada. Regarding the fight, I only wish it could have been a Gopher on the receiving end but then it would have been over real quick.

With all of the conflicting clues in this thread I strongly suspect that two different recruits may have visited the campus this week. I am just glad to hear that at least one of them liked what he saw or was offered.
-
Well at least he could give us some better hints like league or position.
-
Based on this post and the one in the roster thread you must know exactly who it is so why not share the info with the rest of us.
-
If all the other clues we have seen regarding a goaltender from Toronto are accurate then perhaps it is Anthony Grieco. Perhaps Sioux scouting saw something others didn't? http://www.wellingtondukes.com/team.htm

I don't know what happened to the Devils but it would appear that the Sens had it too easy in the regular season and can't deal with a team that pressures them with speed. As for Vanek, his playing time has been limited due to his lack of defensive play. After the Philly series you could still see Ruff picking pieces of Vanek's left ear from out of his teeth.

Matt Greene got a fair share of the ice time in Edmontons 3-2 win. He also got a couple of good shots off from the point and nearly had the first goal of the game.

Why Siouxnami is optimistic about the 2006/2007 Fighting Sioux!
Sioux_Hab-it replied to siouxnami's topic in Men's Hockey
The world is made up of both optimists (half-full) and pessimists (half-empty) which is what I keep in mind when I read the posts. IMHO the glass is definitely still at least half-full. -
You have me scratching my head on this one. How much of a tan are we talking about? Perhaps it was the impressive 17 year old D man from the Winnipeg South Blues, Drew Ellement? Also one of the best provincial baseball players in his age group http://www.wsblues.mb.ca/profiles/Ellement.html

I did my best to stay awake.

He is trying to get into college hockey ASAP and someone in the same previous thread commented that he gave BSU a verbal for 07. However, if Parise has told Hak he is leaving maybe the offer of playing this year will win the letter of intent.
-
In a different thread there was talk of a visit by a Goalie so did he happen to look like the guy in this link? http://bozemanicedogs.com/team/roster/?id=2751

It has ended at 2-1 for Canada. Stafford didn't look out of place and had one of USA's better shots on net in the third period. It would also appear that he is over his knee injury.
-
On the home TV here in Ottawa. If you have Center Ice they should be carrying the feed in the US. At least they did in the past. If not you can listen to it by going to the USA Ice Hockey Web site. First period is over still 1-0 USA and the shots were 9-5 for Canada
-
I didn't find a seperate game thread but Stafford just set up the one move wonder for a goal so USA is up on Canada 1-0
-
Speaking of Commodore they featured him and his robe on Don Cherry's Coaches Corner tonight and Cherry has agreed to wear the robe for a future show if the Canes advance.

When he said 6'2" I though perhaps he meant Dan McWhinney of the OPJHL. http://www.stouffvillespirit.com/players/p...os=G&playerid=2

I wasn't near a computer so I couldn't provide updates today but the US did defeat Denmark 3-0. Shots were 37-19 for the US. Still not much playing time for Stafford and although he didn't get a shot on goal his line did get one of the goals today. Goals from Park, Alberts and Yan Stastny.
-
Someone should be proof reading Cupchella's emails before they are released.
-
Final Shots 31-21 USA. In the final score sheet Drew was given credit for a second period shot on goal.
-
Dustin Brown with a third PP goal (natural Hat-trick) makes it 3-1 with less than 5 minutes to go.
-
None of the college players are seeing much ice time but they should be seeing it now rather than waiting for the big games. Besides there has been too much individual play by the Pros anyway but I guess this is to be expected in only their second game together. I suspect the same problem will plague Canada.

Dustin Brown gets a second power play goal 2-1 USA
