  1. I have 5 available in the lower bowl for SATURDAY against Bemidji. 2 of them are in Sec 103, Row P. 3 of them are in Sec 102, Row F. Tix are not in GF, so will have to be transferred via Ticketmaster, which is real easy just need a name and email address. $25 per ticket, or $100 for all 5. Text 701-797-7021
  2. So in the end, the IAC's and Kennedy's plan is to make more money. Brilliant.
  3. Flights are booked, I will be there.
  4. Summit League = Landing pad for all schools rejected by the Big Sky. And unfortunately it appears UND may be willing to throw away the enormous opportunity that the Big Sky presents, mostly because it and many of its supporters miss NDSU. Where would the hockey program be today if it were equally consumed by a perceived need to be in lockstep with Minnesota? Probably not at the top......
  5. This is disappointing and actually quite ridiculous. A move to the Summit would be embarrassing at best.
  6. The only sport that UND added to join the Big Sky was men's tennis and that costs around 75 cents a day to operate. UNDs athletic department was fat and bloated long before the Big Sky ever came calling.
  7. Yes, North Dakota is very lucky that we don't have to endure the "gauntlet" of imposing opponents that the Griz are facing this year............... Sagarin SOS Rankings Eastern Washington 113 UC Davis 129 Idaho State 132 Cal Poly 135 Portland State 145 Northern Arizona 148 Southern Utah 149 Northern Colorado 153 Sacramento State 161 North Dakota 170 Montana St 188 Weber State 192 Montana 200
  8. I know, two consecutive bye weeks before the first playoff game at the Alerus on Dec 3 isn't necessarily ideal. Would rather just have the first round playoff bye instead of two in a row.
  9. Maybe after UND has been in the building for, oh I don't know, say 15 years, they will finally have it down. Seriously the intro and stuff was better this weekend than it was for the opener, so that is good. Just frustrating that the Alerus has struggled with this kind of stuff when it is done so well a few blocks away at REA,
  10. I am liking the development that Mercer seems to be making at wideout. He may not be blazing fast, but it seems he maybe has a half a gear faster than the other guys. Great compliment to Toivonen, Wanzek, and Stanley.
  11. Hawk screech is a keeper...........
  12. Don't forget it is also "Duck-tober". Hunting always seems to get in the way of football games. I missed the last game due to harvest, looking forward to this weekend and the rest of the season. I also expect there to be a home game or two in December!
  13. We have the Potato Bowl. Why is there no Sugar Beet Bowl? I would much rather eat a spoonful of sugar than a spoonful of mashed potatoes. I have to think the worlds largest sugar feed would do better than the worlds largest french fry feed. I am confident that more sugar would lead to more butts in the seats.......
  14. It is has already been announced that Women's Hockey is safe from being cut from the Athletic Department, but I would like to see what SiouxSports.com feels about it overall. I am in favor of dropping the sport.
  15. This is one of the best ideas I have heard! What a novel concept! Invest in a sport that is actually entertaining to watch and has the potential to draw fans.
  16. Sure the process is unfortunate, but not real sure what people are looking for here. Schafer was heavily criticized for abruptly dropping sports with little to no apparent input from the university community, at least publicly. Now Kennedy is being heavily criticized for apparently being too inclusive. It's too bad but it is what is is. Either way teams are going to be cut and feelings are going to be hurt. I am quite confident that if Kennedy had done this on his own without the IAC, Brad and Tom would still be throwing him under the bus. To me the biggest travesty about this whole process is the fact that the women's hockey program didn't have to be at the meeting last night to pitch their program.........
  17. Pointers on visiting Greeley? Breathe through your mouth.
  18. For me personally in no particular order: Stability. 5 of the 6 founding members of the Big Sky are members of the conference today. The institutions: Particularly Montana, Montana St., Weber St., Idaho, and UC Davis. We will always be peers/have relationships with NDSU, USD, and SDSU due to history and location. Not so much with the other schools. Location: Many Big Sky locations are near large concentrations of UND Alumni, which helps for fundraising. Personally as someone who likes to travel to away games, it is much more enjoyable traveling to many Big Sky locales than it is to places like Macomb, Illinois and such. Scheduling: I love the fact that we can schedule former NCC schools for non-confenence games and are guaranteed games against quality names like the Montanas, Weber, etc........ Conference Continuity: The fewer conferences the better. It isn't ideal to have one league for mens hockey, another for womens hockey, another for football, and another for basketball. Hard to build rivalries Tom Douple: Hammersmith is right, I can't stand that guy.
  19. Reyes sure does get hurt often......
  20. Is it about time that Coach Rudolph's title be changed to "Master of Offense" yet? Or maybe just fire him.
  21. Stockwell continues to lead the team in personal fouls on the season.......
  22. Someone other than Seibel needs to field punts.....
