  1. Sam up 38-7 on UCA now. Just about halftime
  2. Wow gutsy call on 4th down. Cats end Griz season.
  3. SDSU up 7-0 early on UNI. Took them 3 plays to score.
  4. I would think so. Criticized for their schedule all year, now doing over a decent team. Pollsters have loved Sam all year, this gives them more reason to.
  5. 24 Cats 17 Griz 11:00 4Q
  6. 24 Montana St 10 Montana :49 3Q
  7. 17 Sam Houston 7 Central Arkansas 11:21 2H
  8. 14 SUU 7 NAU 21 points scored in first 5 minutes......
  9. SUU up 14-0 on NAU in the 1st
  10. Cats leading Griz 24-7 in the 3rd
  11. So do you believe that Doug Fullerton had no influence in the Big Sky's most recent expansion that resulted in UND, SUU, Cal Poly, and UC Davis being added to the league?
  12. I just don't agree with the notion that joining SumValley would lead to droves of UND fans attending more road games. I've been to several NCC venues prior to and during the transition, and have been to several Big Sky venues since joining that conference. It has been my experience that roughly the same number of fans turn out regardless of the location, except for at NDSU of course. We can't even get our students to travel 6 blocks for football games, so I have a hard time believing ND fans are going to take over the Dakotadome in Vermillion....
  13. This game was incredibly loud. I was not at the 2001 UC Davis game, which seems to have almost a mythical reputation at this point, but if it was louder than that 2003 North Alabama game, it must have been almost unbearable.
  14. As far as games that I've actually been in attendance for (No particular order)...................... 2003 vs UNO: UND led throughout the game until UNO tied it with 2:00 left. Jeff Glas hit a 48 yard field goal to win it with 10 seconds left 2003 vs Winona: NCAA quarterfinal game. Sioux were up 21 at the half before Winona scored 22 straight to take the lead with 2:00 left. UND goes on 80 yard drive and score winning TD with less than 30 seconds left 2003 vs North Alabama: NCAA Semis. Game was never really in doubt, but I have never again heard the Alerus so loud. 2004 vs GVSU: NCAA quarterfinal game. UND scores winning TD with 5 minutes left 2005 vs UNO: We lost this game! Led by 19 in the 4th QTR before the Mavs scored 20 straight. Alerus Center was shocked. 2006 @ SCSU: OT win. 7 lead changes in the game. Ryan Chappel ran for 150 yards. My first road game 2008 @ USD: OT win. Hellevang kicks the winner in OT. 2014 vs NAU: We led by 3 scores at halftime. Lumberjacks stormed back to take a one point lead. Taubenheim kicked game winner with less than 10 seconds left 2016 vs USD: You all remember, it was the home opener! 2016 vs NAU: You all remember, it just happened! Clinched the first of MANY Big Sky titles!! As far as games of overall historic significance (no particular order).................. 2001 vs Grand Valley: National Championship, nuff said........ 2015 vs Wyoming: First FBS win 1993 vs NDSU: First win against Bison in 13 years, first NCC title in 13 years 2006 vs Northern Iowa: Major upset win against then #3 ranked I-AA team in the nation. UNI hasn't been the same since! 1972 vs Cal Poly: Camelia Bowl. We were #3, Poly was #1. We won and it should have been our first Natty. Championship was awarded by poll, and it was given to Delaware who had an unblemished record. First example of the NCAA screwing us. 2016 vs NAU: In addition to being one of the wildest and most entertaining games of all time I am sure, it also clinched North Dakota's first ever Big Sky Championship, and 100% guaranteed the program its first ever spot in the NCAA Division I Football Playoffs. 1894 vs Grand Forks City: First ever football game played by the University of North Dakota. Without this game, we wouldn't be talking about any of the others!
  15. They weren't a playoff team because of their loss to UND.

    2016 Season

Obviously Bubba has done a tremendous job and is very deserving of Coach of they Year honors. I'd give it to him. But I'm not sure that it is a slam dunk, when you look at what Eastern Washington has done this season. They did not make the playoffs last year either, and have been extremely impressive this season. Side note: how long can EWU keep Beau Baldwin in Cheney given what he's accomplished there?
  17. The fact that that conference was immediately and continues to be dominated by two former DII programs as soon as they joined it says plenty about the overall strength of the other teams in the MVFC in my opinion. NDSU's success obviously isn't so surprising, except for the 5 Nattys, who could predict that? They've had a tremendous program forever. But SDSU accomplished more in their first three years in the Valley than they did in 100 years in the NCC.
  18. Athlon Power Poll North Dakota in at #7
