  1. Hammersmith, I think I asked you to clarify this before, but I can't remember. Would UND and USD be eligible for the WNIT in 2008-09? Not that they could put together a schedule good enough and have enough success in their first season, but could they even be eligible next season?
  2. Damn, she was my favorite. I wonder if it is an indication that she will be getting the offer from Eastern Illinois?
  3. Thanks for the info! How come UND guys are participating in Fargo this year? UND has always had a pro day as well.
  4. Bison06, just in case you are not familiar with some of the names that others have thrown out, here is some more info on a few of the notable Canadians to play at UND: Dave Fennell: CFL Hall of Famer, 6 time Grey Cup winner, 1978 CFL Defensive Outstanding Player Scott Schultz: Played in NFL for Steelers and Chargers, #1 overall pick in CFL draft, CFL All-Star Greg Lotysz: Played for the NY Jets before suffering life-altering knee injury Milson Jones: 9 year CFL career, Most Outstanding Canadian in 1987 Grey Cup, won two Grey Cups Mike Juhasz: One of UND's most prolific wide receivers, 14th overall selection in CFL Draft Donovan Alexander: One of UND's best DB's ever, 23rd overall selection in last year's CFL Draft
  5. This article makes it sound as if it was UND's choice to go back to Vermillion again this year. USD football schedule builds slowly Damn, we're nice guys up here!
  6. [url=http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/index.cfm?id=70310&section=Sports]UND
  7. People from South Dakota are funny. UND women show lack of class in loss
  8. I have seen some internet posts indicating that UND will be at Northwestern St (Southland Conference), in September of '09.
  9. Yep, that ought to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UND 78 USD 76 I TOLD YA SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. The men beat South Dakota tonight 78-76!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  11. Lotysz will not be coaching for the Sioux this season. Just heard him on KNOX. Sounds like something about DI rules for volunteers.
  12. Wisconsin, along with Iowa, reversed their stance on that policy, at least as it pertains to UND, when the settlement was announced. They both said they would consider playing us after the agreement was made.
  13. Emmanual Little is Player of the Week.
  14. I sure hope so. I'm a long-time New England Patriots fan . I hope that UND does to USD what the NY Giants did to the Patriots this year. Lose in the regular season, but win in the playoffs.
  15. Probably because it has never been a big deal to anyone to win on USD's floor. If you read the release, it noted that USD is a "long-time rival" of UND's and they've been playing for over 100 years. I don't know what more you want. I'm sorry that UNO has given UND more competitive games over the years than USD has, but that is out of our control. St. Cloud is a hockey rival, and to some extent a basketball one, but no more so than USD. SDSU isn't on the radar of many Sioux fans or alums. Obviously UND vs. NDSU has its history as does USD vs. SDSU, so I know you understand that. Personally, I always get excited when UND and USD meet in any sport, I'm sorry that you feel USD is so lowly that you do not. I was in Vermillion last year, and I'll be there again this year.
  16. Agreed. But by the time hockey starts, there are probably only 2 home games left. I always take advantage on days when Hockey and Basketball are played on the same day, It'd be alot of fun to go to a 3:00 or so football game, and then head to the REA for Hockey.
  17. I believe Ralph's gift of the $110 million hockey arena was the biggest gift ever to a University, until Boone Pickens' gift to Oklahoma state surpassed it in 2003 or 2004. There are other posters who may know more of the specifics than me.
  18. I would also like to see a shift toward night games. I know Lennon was against them. The UW-La Crosse site had the game at 5:00, but UND's site has 1:00. I think night games, or very late afternoon games would help attendance, as alot of people have to work or want to spend their Saturday afternoon in the yard before the snow flies. Some fans, like me, travel a fair distance to get to the games. The 1:00 start pretty much blows the entire day for me.
  19. UW-La Crosse game is confirmed for September 13. 5:00 p.m. start. I like that!
  20. Seattle University preparing for Div. I
  21. Although, not a school in transition, there were some interesting articles on independent Chicago St. this weekend. Could Chicago State return to Summit League? Chicago State looking for right fit Payouts that CSU has received for basketball games over the last 2 seasons
  22. The NCC is not an auto-bid conference, but they have been a consistant dominant force in the conference since about 1990. When did these teams you speak of leave again, opening the door for UND to succeed?
  23. The rivalry will heat up when our men's basketball team upsets USD next week in Vermillion, and our women win the NCC Tourney and start celebrating on your floor like your ladies did on ours this season!
  24. The Bracket is out for the NCC tourney. We travel back to Vermillion to play the Yotes. Good luck, men!
