I want to say we need to get Brekke involved down low, but every time he's had it down low they've stolen it away from him. I want to say we need to drive and dish more, but every time they have done it, they just throw it to the Griz. I want to say our guards need to draw contact and get to the line, but they're missing most of their free throws.

I think Benton may be a bit over confident after his good showing against the Bobcats. He needs to settle down. Offensively, our whole team looks like Rocky Hager trying to figure out the 3-4 defense. It's ugly.

The Griz are just way better than us. Our guards are getting flustered and starting to go into 1 on 1 mode now. They do a good job of getting open shots for they're players, and not missing much either.

Brekke needs to stay out of foul trouble so he can deal with Ward.

Teammakers would never allow that. It would be like our football coach getting more than our Hockey coach.

I hear they are pretty big into Rodeo.

SDSU has a great basketball facility. Both Fargo and SDSU have about double the attendance for men's basketball that we do. No way do any of the former NCC schools get into the MVC as we know it. But when the smoke clears, they may end up in something called the Missouri Valley that is made up of remnants of the Summit and Horizon.

Plus, it had just added a new and very expensive sport in women's hockey.

The last 8 minutes or so against Montana St., showed how valuable an offensively skilled post player like Brekke can be to this team. Injuries and off-court issues happen to every team, so I'm not making excuses, but one has to wonder at what level of basketball this team could have been playing this season if Huff, Brekke, and Traylor had been available from start to finish. Probably at a similar level to Montana and Weber, IMO.

I was plenty critical of Huff his first two seasons, but I wonder if this guy has seen Huff play this season at all. Yeah, he still has lapses, but he is probably the 2nd best defender on the team, and one of the better defenders in the Big Sky. He's made tremendous strides in his all around game from last season to this season.

Fargo asked the entire NCC to move up as one. Only SDSU and USD voted for it. Northern Colorado had already announced they were leaving regardless.
