I read that too and laughed, essentially. The "national stage" of Women's Hockey....lmfao. If it was funded like soccer or softball, great. But my gawd. Women's hockey is being spared because they play the same sport as Brad Berry's team. End of story.

Cut one sport that gives you nothing back and save 1.5 million...... Or cut four sports to try and achieve the same thing and at same time cutting roughly 3x as many collegiate athletic opportunities for kids so one program can be saved. A program that gives out 50% of their opportunities to kids from Canada/Europe. Goes back to Champions Club fundraising as well. Less S/A's on campus, less donors in the future. I know they need to cut programs but just seems so stupid to keep ignoring a major hole in your spreadsheet.

I see on the Poly message board they blamed a majority of the loss on the reffing. Seriously. They got manhandled on both sides of the ball most the game. That is why they lost.

Better offensive lineman make better skill players. It obviously would be awesome to just recruit some out of HS but guys tend to be more open down field when we are running all over teams or our QB can sit there for 4 seconds and let the route develop.

Williams showed, he was just not a good football player and left after spring IIRC. He was a late addition to the class anyway. Merz and Grady are the two that really hurt. Camy (juco) was a bust. Blair is here and doing well but will take at least 2-3 years to be ready since he was 240 out of HS. Francis had a injury issue and couldn't put on weight so he was moved to fullback. That hurt because he would have been a very good center or guard. Brendan Slaight (juco) flaked out and never showed up. That hurt. Like you said, this year's senior class only signed one OL (Isenberger) and he transferred. Helgren, Tobin, Mortel and Nguon need to hit. Period. They all look good and have done well thus far.

I am. They had 227 of them last weekend.

Is this kind of like your "NAIA corners" comment from last year? When two of your top 4 WRs are out you end up with true freshman. When you lose three all conference O lineman you end up with youth across the board. They don't have time to throw long. And they don't have anybody who can go long. Was Rudolph in over his head last year when John ran for 1,459 yards?

They rarely had 8 in the box. They had 7 with two safeties over the top. Which dictates run.

Did you watch the game? Interested to hear what these mistake(s) are that he is making. I know the other safeties are blatantly blowing coverages for all to see. They are consistently hammering Reyes up in there (0-5 yards) for run support & so forth but there have been a couple plays in last two games where a guy comes out into the zone he was in. Is it his job to wheel back and cover down field? Only the staff knows those answers.
