Yeahhh. One has half the budget of the other but brings in 3X the revenue. But, yah, they are exactly the same.
Also, when Volleyball reports there are 1,000 people at their match, there are actually close to 1,000 people at the match.
UND needs 16 sports if they ever want to go FBS in football. So your idea won't work.
But, in the mean time they can try and reduce losses/stabilize budget by eliminating sports that cost the most and bring in the least amount of revenue/attention.
Having watched UND play Weber twice this year I will say that UND is better than they are. Just a better team. That wasn't the case in the past but this year is different.
UND would have to play worse than normal to lose to Weber, IMO, or Weber would have to shoot the lights out to beat UND.
LSU spends $36,000,000 on football / men's basketball and the nearest womens sports (BB) gets $4,000,000? WOW! They are working the "prong" system pretty bad.
But remember non-conference games don't matter. All about the Big Sky.
Now we see why they matter. You don't end up playing a #1 seed or crappy play-in game if you win a few more OOC games.
Interesting that UND is going to announce the cuts by March 6th. The Summit League Presidents meet March 4-7th. Pretty sure MK will have all the answers he could possibly need by March 6th, if he even waits that long.
The article was written as if somebody at the GFH was told of the "penalty" and it might be worth writing about. Neither Douple or Faison had much of a comment and even threw out there that there is possibility of no penalty.
LOL...dohkay. Hockey is the only sport I have ever seen where they look at a box score and determine how well they played. "but, we outshot them 46-17..."
Competed. See the word "competed". We didn't play anybody better than them so that is the only reference point. USD competed just fine with all your top end teams. They just need to learn how to win.
