Would go about as well as SDSU's attendance after October. 6K for their home playoff game and there weren't even that many. As far as Memorial goes, it will be in a pile of rubble before anything happens to that site. The building is crumbling.

Minnesota has three Canadian's on their team. The rest are from MN (majority), IL, & ND. That is how you keep scholarship costs down. By my math, the UND WH scholarships averaged out to $25,096 each. By comparison: MH = $24,981 FB = $20,695 MBB = $23,282 WBB = $19,912 Not millions but they could reduce their scholarship costs by recruiting Minnesota alot harder.

I have seen that angle a lot on Twitter. People that have daughters are outraged that UND cut the WH program. I get your point, I do, but they don't need to keep a 2.13 million dollar program because of the .00001% chance your daughter ends up playing hockey through the age of 18 AND is good enough to make UND's team. My son loves baseball and will now never play at UND, either. Doesn't mean they should keep the program or reinstate it and at this point he has a very, very minor shot at playing college baseball. I am waiting for the WH supporters/players/staff to present a plan that shows what could be done to save the program. They have said they are going to do that but I am sure it will take time, that is a bunch of money. Having 100s of people tweet hashtags about UND reinstating the hockey program is cool and everything. But, it means nothing to a public institution. FYI, the program lost 1.9 million dollars, not 1.3.

It's cool and everything, more than I have ever accomplished and it's not even close. They just don't need to keep telling us, we got it.

Just re-read that letter to Kennedy. Gotta say, those two are really proud of themselves. They love to talk about the fact they played in the Olympics and play for the national team any chance they get. Arrogant.

This might be different. It's public dollars at work on this one and there isn't the ability to "strong-arm" a private organization that relies on positive publicity.

Sick of how they keep relating UND and USA Hockey as if they are one in the same. The "Olympian" line they and Schlossman keep spewing means absolutely nothing to the University of North Dakota and it's athletic department. Nothing. If it did they would get more than 200 people for a playoff game and pull in more than 25K in revenue.

They are going to start a twitter campaign. Bunch of hashtags. Followed by a Title IX misinformation campaign with no facts to back it up. At no time will you hear them mention dollar figures or budget.

Where was this mourning when baseball got cut? 200 people a game and all the sudden thousands are "outraged". Maybe those sad souls should have gone to a game.

The Men's team has regular practices three weeks after their season ends? Full squad and all coaches.

Why would they be practicing right now...for what?

Don't bitch about not being told when you have a meeting in 10 minutes where you will find out all about it.

Can the WH players STFU? They have a meeting at 2:45 with Faison and are tweeting at 2:38 that they haven't been told. They are lying just the Womens National Team did the whole time.

Considering half their players are from Europe/Canada it might save more than people think.
