  1. That is a very nice way to put it. Bubba's ability to recruit is questionable at best. We need new blood, not more inbreeding, which is what got UND to this point. Fortunately, gfhockey has no idea what he is talking about.
  2. During his first coaching stint here, he got in a fist fight with a player over a girl.
  3. After fighting with a player over a girl at a bar, I would hope he never coaches here again. He is the defensive version of Mussman
  4. I believe it is the latter. RB's coach to OC at NDSU OC at USD when the were averaging like 500+ yds 40+ pts (and gave UND fits) HC at Macalaster (Came to UND and learned 3-4 from Tibesar) HC at UST (Hired Digger and Holinka as assistants and ran 3-4 scheme) -His record was already posted (.800+winning percentage) and went 8-2 this year even though his 1st and 2nd strings QBs went down with injuries I think he is an up-and-comer. Not saying he should be the hire but he should be on a short-list. Coached extensively in this area and has experience as a successful HC Edit: He was a center in college (I believe made DIII All-American). Has consistently had a Center at UST that has won the DIII "Best Center" award. He coaches from the line out.
  5. Keep your eye out for a high-level DI FBS defensive coordinator caught banging a cheerleader on his office desk, and UND can follow NDSU's lead.
  6. I would also note that Caruso came to UND to learn the 3-4 defense, which he currently runs at UST. He builds his program from the line out, preferring to win his games in the trenches. Exactly what is missing at UND.
  7. *With their 3rd String QB Not sure what your point is here? Macalster was considering ending its football program.
  8. If I recall correctly, he was paid $120K/year initially at NDSU. At the same time, he was making the $350k Nebraska owed him for the first three years he was at NDSU. The NDSU amount doesn't include the incentives, which include the normal perks, but also included if I recall approximately $1500/mo clothing allowance at a particular store in Fargo. Bohl loves his tailored silk shirts.
  9. Just wanted to point out what I told you guys was going to happen seven years ago (Doing this because someone called into question my credibility): http://forum.siouxsp..._20#entry175908 Just look at what I wrote and now look at the news regarding the new practice facility/stadium/etc....

    Fire Muss

To be fair, Lennon had us do this once too. Of course, after a couple hours, Dale stopped it and called in the machines.

    Fire Muss

Mussman's arrogance and lack of leadership abilities have always rubbed players the wrong way. It didn't matter when we had a true leader in Lennon. No one likes Mussman and it shows. Kotelnicki is much the same. His arrogance will keep him from becoming a good coach. This is the same guy who in his first coaching stint here got in a fight with a player at that time in a bar over a girl. Real class act. The inbreeding needs to stop. Time to bring in new coaches with new ideas and a new energy.
  12. I apologize as I had not seen it posted. On an aside, the substances thought to be steroids found in Belotti's room were not steroids. I know a lot of people came down on him hard for that.

More of a Zeke if you ask me

  15. Agreed. Unfortunately I'm not too fond of our team either.
  16. I have no insider information on this specific situation, but I did speak with the #1 defense attorney in the Fargo area, and he told me he hasn't seen anything like this since Rocky left town. Apparently, Coach Bohl has his phone number on speed dial and isn't afraid to use it.
  17. I don't know enough about Northern State, but would it be a better job than what he had at Jamestown? If not, I don't understand why he would come back for something he all ready had.
  18. Kelling has always called the plays under this co-coordinator system.
  19. I haven't been paying enough attention, but does Cameron travel for Away games? If not, it could be they just have Hellevang kick/punt so they can open up a spot for a position player to travel.
  20. Not sure if NDSU made the decision that "Shamen is better," but they weren't offering the money that UND was.
  21. Thanks for that stat. Didn't know that. I can tell you that Kotelnicki ran the Tibesar style 3-4 as well, not the style we see today. In fact, Truman State upset Winona that year essentially running "Dart" the whole game. Not sure if that is even in the playbook anymore. I know HBC, Under 4, Rocket, Falcon, and other defenses have disappeared.
  22. Yes he was and still is. He just isn't half the football player that Weston is.
  23. I think it would be like the South Park episode where both little league teams are trying to lose. Both teams would do their best to try and walk off the field the loser.
