The fact the Goophies are a #1 seed is a joke- They are at home and lost 2 games in the final 5- I guess the final 5 results don't mean much.

Glad we won but what is with the conservative approach once we went up 3-2? It was like there were 5 Sioux defensemen out there for over 10 minutes in the 3rd. I know the Alaska announcers commented on this last Saturday when the roof caved in during the 3rd period and we lost. Just wondering what others think.

Bottom line, Greene has to become more disciplined in his play. He is hurting the team with his ignorant penaltys. You get the man advantage and then he negates it with a stupid penalty. Dean would have benched him as he used to do last year. Get some discipline going Hakstol.

JPar is a good goalie- Lam is probally better. However, by not playing JPar, UND will probally lose its feeder system from Shattuck.

When will Hakstol start benching #2, Mr. Green (alias Mr. Goon) like Dean used to do. He cost the team once more another two points. At the end of the season, remember the two points lost against Alaska last weekend and the one tonight against the Dogs. I bet Sandelin loves Green tonight.

I watched the replay and am still unsure what the penalty called leaping rule is. GF Herald said that if you attempt a block on the field goal you cannot land on the opponent in the attempt. It is hard to say what would have happened if we got the ball back but it sure would have been interesting. Thanks go to the entire team and coaches for a gut check season. No one thought you would be in the playoffs but then they did not consider the work ethic of the team and coaches. Thanks for a great entertaining season!!

Assuming the Sioux beat Grand Valley, is there any way the semi-final game could be at the Alerus/

I thought Zach would get the Hobey because he was all WCHA academic. Junior is definitely deserving but if you use all the criteria as the voters are supposed to Zach should have got it due to his all around credentials.

From a Sioux hockey fan from the early 1960's I totally agree that the new arena is not near as much fun as the old Engelstad. Most of you do not remember the "barn" which was the Sioux home before the first Engelstad, it was not even heated for the fans, however the atmosphere from the small rink was so intimidating to our opponents it was unreal. If there was a problem with fans at the Alerus center with Sioux football then deal with that venue. I totally agree with Ms Triske"s article, the atmosphere lately sucks, or should I say the lack of atmospher. Zach Parise may have said it best- This is not a museum it is a hockey rink!!! Get real Mr. Kupchella and Mr. Roger Thomas.
