Malone is a left handed shot not right. I believe the rest are correct though.

I just don't see Davidson playing much next season. I have never seen him play and I would assume not many have since he just committed but I am guessing he will be a 13th to 14th type forward who gets a chance when someone gets hurt but not before guys like Radke, Miller and Martens get there shot. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Frattin got a shot on the top line with Duncan and Oshie but the way that it sounds coming from the Blues Development camp is that Kariya is fitting in quite well with them and Trupp would remind me the most of the young Kariya.

I take this to mean that KO didn't get an offer he liked from the Islanders so he went back to UM. I still think he wanted to sign but the Islanders didn't want him to so didn't offer what he is worth or finally talked him into going back for one more year of development which they said he needed all along.

I agree with you Goon. It's a tough crowd around here first you don't like a guy because he isn't a physical defenseman but is good offensively then there's a defenseman who is a physical defensive defenseman but hasn't shown much offensive ability yet and he isn't good enough either. I guess we will just have to start breeding Bobby Orr and Scott Stevens to get some decent defenseman around here.
-
There's a Connor Gaarder who will be a junior this coming season with Edina who was part of that super sophomore class of Edina's last year. I believe he plays on a line with Budish.
-
I would guess that we won't know for sure on Lee until after the Stanley Cup Finals as I would assume that's all that Ottawa really cares about right now.
-
I don't see VandeVelde playing with Osh and Duncs next year unless he plays wing because I believe everyone is looking at this in the wrong context. I would be willing to bet that Osh centers Duncs and someone else. He has played center pretty much all his life until college where he was put on a line with two pretty naturally gifted two-way players in Zajac and Toews. I would be extremely surprised if Osh doesn't atleast start out the year as the center on the top line.
-
By the looks of it now, the main objective is to get David Toews and then worry about battling it out for the 09 guys. I don't believe there is room for anymore forwards in 08 but maybe a defenseman or two. Does anyone know if David would be a for sure 08 (I would guess yes) or if there is a chance he would play a year of juniors?
-
Here's to hoping we lose one Toews and gain one in the same week. I have had a feeling they might pull a fast one on us and David was waiting to commit after his brother officially left to put out the fire a little bit. Don't have any inside info but I can hope right.

Any word on where Landman is leaning? He seems like he should be a kid mentioned in the same breath as the other guys you have named.
-
How about the looks of our 09 class so far Kristo- Eden Praire Gleason- Edina Fink- Hopkins Wasn't there an argument on this board a while back when Jackson was hired as the new assistant that three Canadian coaches would have a hard time recruiting the Minnesota boys from the Goofs.
-
I don't think this has been talked about at all but since Mario Lamoureux re-opened his recruitment and plans to play in the USHL again next year does anyone know or think that he may become a Fighting Sioux now or are we out of room for him.
-
I know about those two but that will still leave us only with Lapoint, Genoway, Marto, Jones with experience coming back in 08 with Blood coming. Thats only five d-men and most teams like to carry 8. Gleason is slated to come in 09 but will probably have to move to 08 if we don't find a few others. Also, Marto will more than likely be a second year freshman in 08 unless we have early departures this summer that cause him to see significant playing time this year.
-
Anybody know of any D recruits we are looking at for the 08 season as it looks like we will be losing quite a few d-men next season (Chorney, Bina, Lee, Finley if they are even around this year that being Lee and Finley). I know we have Blood lined up for 08 and possibly 07 if need be and Gleason for 09 or 08 if need be but I am thinking we are going to need a few more.

Its been over a year since this happened but it is pretty funny now that you guys bring this up because I was also at Dagwoods that night-day and just happened to get a little puke on me due to a Gopher fan and now I know it was FIRE HELMET BUY. Small world and pretty funny after the fact. I do remember the looks of that bathroom as well.

Denver got a committment from Dusty Jackson for next year. I don't know how much scholarship he is getting if any but this may affect Riley Nash. I still personally think he will be heading to Cornell.
-
First time at the Final Five for me and we have a center ice suite for the whole tourney. It should be a great time.
-
My gut feeling on Nash and the reason why his decision is taking so long is I believe that he is waiting to see what kind of financial aid package he is going to receive at Cornell. If it is what he expects, I think he heads out east and joins his brother at Cornell next season. I don't have any inside info. or anything but that is just my guess on why his decision is taking so long.
-
I am assuming that he will be an 08. I would guess that if we get Nash that 1 or 2 of our recruits would be playing another year of juniors (Bruneteau, Frattin or Hextall) depending on early departures. If early departures occur and we don't land Nash, I'd say two for sure if not all three make it on campus next fall. Maybe this was Bishops scholarship. Thoughts?

This might be a dumb question but I've been wondering this for a while now with the Sioux tying both Mankato and UMD. Do those two ties pretty much equal a loss when it comes to Pairwise ananlysis? In other words, will two ties equal one loss when it comes to the Pairwise or 2 wins and 2 ties better than having 3 wins and a loss. Like I said it might be a dumb question but I was wondering if anyone knows.
-
I'm not from AZ but when I was down there I watched the games at RT O'Sullivans I believe. There were quite a few Sioux fans there so it was pretty cool.
-
Aaron Ness is a defenseman. SIOUXELEVENS beat me to it.
-
How do you guys foresee the lines this weekend? I would assume Toews returns with Osh and Duncan, the frosh line stays in tact and the Watkins-Porter-Kozek line stays in tact with Miller moving down to play with Fabian and Kaip.
-
How about the omission of Bobby Ryan. He was on last years team and was the second overall pick a few years ago. I am guessing the Ducks aren't too happy with his progress so far.
-
For your information, Finley was recruited by the Gophers as well. He was choosing between the Sioux and the Gophers last year and decided on the Sioux. I am not sure if it was because North Dakota was going to bring him in right a way or not but the Gophers did recruit and offer him a scholarship. Also Ben Gordon went to the Gophers straight from high school if I recall correctly and the only time he played juniors was before and after the high school season.
