  1. Denver got a committment from Dusty Jackson for next year. I don't know how much scholarship he is getting if any but this may affect Riley Nash. I still personally think he will be heading to Cornell.
  2. First time at the Final Five for me and we have a center ice suite for the whole tourney. It should be a great time.
  3. My gut feeling on Nash and the reason why his decision is taking so long is I believe that he is waiting to see what kind of financial aid package he is going to receive at Cornell. If it is what he expects, I think he heads out east and joins his brother at Cornell next season. I don't have any inside info. or anything but that is just my guess on why his decision is taking so long.
  4. I am assuming that he will be an 08. I would guess that if we get Nash that 1 or 2 of our recruits would be playing another year of juniors (Bruneteau, Frattin or Hextall) depending on early departures. If early departures occur and we don't land Nash, I'd say two for sure if not all three make it on campus next fall. Maybe this was Bishops scholarship. Thoughts?
  5. This might be a dumb question but I've been wondering this for a while now with the Sioux tying both Mankato and UMD. Do those two ties pretty much equal a loss when it comes to Pairwise ananlysis? In other words, will two ties equal one loss when it comes to the Pairwise or 2 wins and 2 ties better than having 3 wins and a loss. Like I said it might be a dumb question but I was wondering if anyone knows.
  6. I'm not from AZ but when I was down there I watched the games at RT O'Sullivans I believe. There were quite a few Sioux fans there so it was pretty cool.
  7. Aaron Ness is a defenseman. SIOUXELEVENS beat me to it.
  8. How do you guys foresee the lines this weekend? I would assume Toews returns with Osh and Duncan, the frosh line stays in tact and the Watkins-Porter-Kozek line stays in tact with Miller moving down to play with Fabian and Kaip.
  9. How about the omission of Bobby Ryan. He was on last years team and was the second overall pick a few years ago. I am guessing the Ducks aren't too happy with his progress so far.
  10. For your information, Finley was recruited by the Gophers as well. He was choosing between the Sioux and the Gophers last year and decided on the Sioux. I am not sure if it was because North Dakota was going to bring him in right a way or not but the Gophers did recruit and offer him a scholarship. Also Ben Gordon went to the Gophers straight from high school if I recall correctly and the only time he played juniors was before and after the high school season.
  11. Now that we have quite a few forwards lined up for the next few years I think we need to get a defenseman or two. I am hoping we can land Blood for the simple fact that the two D coming in next year are offensively skilled and not the big bruising type. This is why I think Blood would be a great pickup for 08 because we will need a big bruiser to go along with the skilled defenseman. Thoughts?
  12. I see on that site that it says he is not sure if he is going to come next year or the year after. He says it depends on how much he improves this year. What are everyones thoughts on this? Do you think the staff is leaving open the option of getting another blue-chip forward for next year (Gregoire, Nash) and then having Bruneteau come in 08. That would be one heck of a start to the 08 class with him and Cichy.
  13. Just to let you know. That info has been on that site for quite a while and doesn't get updated too often. Not many on this board had any idea about Bruneteau until Chuck informed us that we have an offer out to him.
  14. Oh yeah I forgot about him. I guess because I don't know a whole lot about him.
  15. You can scratch Lamoureux off of that list. But the rest is pretty good.
  16. I don't know about that. To me and probably to alot of other people on this board little Toews wouldn't be a surprise. My guess it is someone else. But I would be extremely happy if it is Toews.
  17. The report is that Gregoire is being persued by UND, Wisc. and Denver as well as St. Cloud I believe. On Bruteneau, everything I had read up to about a month ago was that he had a list of schools and UND wasn't one of them but I believe Chuck reported on this board that UND has an offer on the table for his services and he now has UND as a possibility. From what I see, we really only have room for one more forward so hopefully we land one of the three (Nash, Bruteneau, Gregoire). Its nice to see the start of our 08 class though. Hopefully Toews joins it soon.
  18. Brad's blog is reporting that Mario Lamoureaux gave a verbal committment to play with his brother at Northern Michigan.
  19. I see what your saying but he had time to get rid of the puck well before the guy behind him got even close. I guess I just prefer him going of the glass or the boards and getting the puck out in that instance rather than waiting and trying to make a risky pass up the middle. Hopefully he will learn.
  20. I agree with a lot of the opinions I have read so far. I too believe Wisconsin is a little overrated even with Skille, Carlson, Klubertantz?. I definitely thought the Sioux were the superior team this weekend even Saturday but they did not play very well in my opinion. I watched the replay of the goal from Saturday about 5 or 6 times now and I am just trying to figure out what Finley was thinking. I didn't see one Green jersey in the middle of the ice where he tried to feather that pass but I saw three Badgers. I don't know who he was even trying to pass it to. The thing that made me the most upset was the fact that you're taught as a d-man in like squirts to get the puck out of the zone first (preferably high off the glass) especially in a tie game in the third period.
  21. I saw that post but I don't see him listed anywhere on Heisenberg's site.
  22. Is he playing in the BCHL because I don't see his name on any of the recruiting sites?
  23. I hope he is coming in 08. The reason I say this is because I would like to see one or two other guys get added to our 07 class that we may have given offers to already. I just hope this doesn't keep us from missing out on some other big names. (Gregoire, Lamoureaux, Blood, Nash)
  24. From what I hear Sacchetti will either go to UMD or the Goofs. I know he is in the top few of almost all the 08 rankings I have seen but I'm not that big on him. I played against him this summer and wasn't impressed in the slightest bit. I would also through out names such as Kelly Zajac and Derek Lee for 08. Also, Michael Cichy but I am guessing he is headed the MJ route.
  25. I thought about Foyt but I am assuming that he isn't on scholarship and if he is it isn't much.
