  1. Hello Hockey Mom, A couple questions about the team-- 1. Has North Dakota thought about having guys/girls doubleheaders to help get larger crowds? 2. Are the Sioux planning on expanding their recruiting areas to bring in better players? Thanks.
  2. Thanks fellow Fighting Sioux/ Scarlet Knights fans. Since I joined the site and started following North Dakota, almost everyone has been great. Just a note, we may have just had our best recruiting week ever. This past week, three VERY good players announced they are going to RU. A few years ago we couldn't even get kids like this to visit. BEAT MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES!!! THE RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS ARE GOING TO A BOWL GAME!!!
  3. Thanks Tommiejo. I remember in the 70's, the Gators were far and away the best team in Florida. Miami and Florida State used to only win a few games a year. THE RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS ARE GOING TO A BOWL GAME!!!!
  4. AZSioux, that is a smart move. Someone told me once(and I don't know if this is true) that the Nebraska legislature had to pass a law to prevent people from leaving Nebraska football season tickets to their children in their wills. Since you go to games in Colorado, do you know why small schools such as Denver and Colorado College have teams but others such as Colorado State, Univ. of Colorado, and Northern Colorado don't?
  5. AZSioux, how many people are on the waiting list and how do you get to the games if you live in Arizona? THE RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS ARE GOING TO A BOWL GAME!!!!
  6. Does North Dakota give discounts to fans who buy season tickets for more than one sport such as hockey and basketball, football and basketball, etc.?
  7. By the way, a very nice Sioux fan sent me a program and I think I remember reading that North Dakota beat Yale 15-0 once and the game didn't even last the full 60 minutes.
  8. I don't know if this was shown out West today, but Comcast televised the Harvard at Yale game. Yale went up 4-1, but Harvard scored two in the third and were pressing for another as the game ended. They didn't seem to have any quit in them. The Yale goalie was the big difference. He made some terrific saves including point blank shot glove saves. This was the first time I have seen a game from the Yale arena--very small building with a very low roof. The crowd seemed really into it,much more than at an Ivy League football game. Of course if you have ever seen Ivy League football, it makes golf and bowling seem exciting.
  9. Do you expect another blow-out tomorrow night?
  10. AZSioux---just went to your site. Do you wear hockey jerseys 7 days a week? Never saw the one that says "North Dakota". What years did the Sioux wear those?
  11. Great game---for those of you who can see the game, how big is their arena and about how many people are there? Thanks.
  12. I NEVER thought I would see a New Jersey governor do this for Rutgers. ( I know---probably not the best use of tax dollars, but when you divide $25,000 by 8 million residents it comes out to pennies.)My Webpage
  13. Just tuned in--who is in goal and which team dominated play in the first period---Thanks?
  14. Have there been any changes to the television schedule? Thanks.
  15. Hello keikla, Where do you live in South Carolina? I used to live in Columbia on the outskirts heading toward Sumter. I don't like hot weather myself, but it is a beautiful state. If you ever get a chance, go up to Caesar's Head State Park up around the Clemson-Greenville area. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! THE RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS ARE GOING TO A BOWL GAME!
  16. Why do so many Sioux fans go to the games at Minnesota-Duluth, but not to Michigan Tech?
  17. How many colleges field Division 2 football? Thanks.
  18. mafiaman, you are right. Communist countries have been trying to make Christianity disappear for decades. People in Communist China and North Korea who are found in "unregistered churches" at the very least lose their homes and jobs and at the worst are sent to prison or disappear forever. In North Korea, Christians who don't give up their religion have been taken to airport runways, tied up with their faces up and had steamrollers run over them. Despite the government playing thought police, a large revival has been taking place. When any government starts talking about re-educating people's thoughts, it is getting into a very dangerous area.
  19. Hello Sioux Me Now, Rutgers will be taking on Arizona State in Phoenix on December 27. the game will be on ESPN at 8:30 eastern/7:30 central. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! THE RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS ARE GOING TO A BOWL GAME!
  20. Congrats on the new recruit! GO FIGHTING SIOUX! THE RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS ARE GOING TO A BOWL GAME!
  21. For those of you interested, here are some video highlights----My Webpage
  22. Hello AZSioux, Are you a North Dakota or Arizona State grad? Here in the East, Arizona State is being called the best 6-5 team in the country with those close losses to LSU and Southern Cal. By the way, I think I read that this is the last year this bowl will be played at the Phoenix Ballpark and next season it will be moved to Sun Devils Stadium.
  23. Redwing, If you can keep track of who has what channels, you are a genius! Every week, this stuff seems to change. Last year, our local cable company said they would start carrying College Sports TV but it turns out you have to buy a whole higher tier plus get an attachment if you don't have a digital TV. I am not crazy about going to sports bars, but I have caught a few Fighting Sioux games there but even the people who work there sometimes don't know what they carry. Somewhere down the line, I assume everyone will be able to get all TV stations but that is probably a while from now.
  24. Hello redwing--EVERY sport has too many post season games. That being said, after 27 years of waiting for a bowl game RU fans don't care if it is the Insight, Orange, Cotton,Liberty, or Sun Bowl. We hope to be seeing some of this over the Arizona sunset---- check the first picture by patrickruMy Webpage
