I agree with your assessment on the two people and hope that they can work together in the interim. My problem is that I'm a black and white type person and when you get two people trying to run things sometimes things turn out gray. I know that the world is gray, I just have a hard time accepting it.
And the waters get muddier. Nothing against either of these two people, but how do you have "co-acting a.d.'s". Someone ultimately has to be making decisions. Is that Harmeson?
Ryan Chappell was named offensive player of the week earlier this week for the NCC. He has now been named offensive co-player of the week for D2.
Chappell earns national honors, UND ranked No. 2
Carl did a decent job at UND and was actually the one who started UND thinking that football should be played inside.
I believe Len Marti was the AD previous to Miller. Len was the AD for 18 years and was a well respected man.
If indeed Buning is gone, someone has been thinking of this possibility and a short list of candidates must be in someone's vest pocket at the ready. Besides Bollinger who would be on the shortlist?
This makes a little more sense now. With the all the rumblings going on Harmeson didn't report a fire even though there was plenty of smoke.
Edit: The pun regarding the reference to fire was unintended.
Wow, what a game. Can I breathe now?? Dressler/Chappell = studs.
The Sioux sure left a lot of points on the field, though. One fumble at the 6 and the fumble through the end zone. But, heck a win is a win. I'll take it.
Go Sioux!!!
I'm assuming that since this is in the Community thread and not in the hockey or football thread that the news will impact UND Athletics as a whole. Could it be a substantial donation, conference news, the long awaited master plan ...?
My guess is that Diggler will be named a new assistant AD and become AD heir apparent.
I looked back for a place to post this, but none of the old threads looked appropriate for a Harlon Hill candidate. The kid is breaking records and electrifying the crowds.
North Dakota receiver piles up records He is breaking Gustafson's records, who was one of my favorites when I was a kid.
Once again I have to ask, why are there so many Bison fans posting on SiouxSports? Is the inferiority complex that great that you can't stay away? Additionally, as a Sioux fan, I don't really care what the Bison mouthpiece, Kolpack, thinks.
I was there. I remember reading the Herald the next day with the headline "Snow Job". All week long the coaches from Livingston were complaining how cold it was. The general thought is that it doesn't get cold or snow in Northern Alabama. Guess what it does, hence the headline.
If you go to the GF Herald's website you can still view the piece in their "Media on Demand". They talk about building the new stadium around the existing structure.
