It seems the Bengals are pass happy. In their last game, against Idaho, the Bengals threw the ball 66 times. I hope the North Dakota secondary is ready. Idaho State had this weekend off and lots of time to prepare and rest for the Sioux. Edit: Remember this is a Thursday game. Game time 7:35 CDT.

What kind of a name fits this category? Dakota? What if the endorsed name falls out of favor with the tribes in a couple of years? According to the settlement it would have to be changed.

I would think that having a reservation-wide referendum would be the best long term solution for keeping the name. This is curious statement. I thought the biggest sticking point for the Native Americans was the name, not the logo that went with the name. So are we saying North Dakota Sioux with an altered logo?

Has anyone heard any word on the proposed Practice Facility? I have mentioned previously the price of steel is driving up the costs on construction projects. One project which I'm working on has gone back for complete redesign to get rid of the steel and build it out of concrete. I received notification from a vendor yesterday that all products would see a 10-12% increase later this month due to the world-wide demand for steel. Here is an interesting link showing a couple of UND projects, including the practice facility. It also has a couple of possible projects for downtown GF.

I was sitting in my office when a lady in my office said that a plane hit the World Trade Center. At that time she didn't know much more than that and I assumed it was cloudy in NYC and a private plane hit one of the towers. I had a meeting downtown Pensacola at a US Courthouse that morning and caught all of the news on the way. I called my wife to let her know what was going on. When I went into the Courthouse all of the cell phones had to be surrendered, so we all sat that there for two hours not knowing what was going on. My wife called me over and over again frantically trying to reach me; not knowing that I didn't have my phone, but knowing that I was sitting in a Federal Building. The entire day was surreal. I will never forget it. Edit: My brother was in a hotel near the Pentagon that day and wasn't able to get out of DC for 3-4 days.
