  1. I'm really hoping to be there for that one.
  2. September 16, 2009 IAC Meeting.
  3. For years Chapman has been this aloof figure that believed rules were for other people. What made him suddenly change his tune? Sure I think the fact that the Foundation wasn't backing him was part of it, but I also believe the fact that his wife is involved in this mess played into it heavily. He liked being the BMOC, but I wonder if his wife was a bit squeamish about being the target of ire. Not quite ready for that role.

    UND vs SUU

You don't want someone to play the "Flying Saucer" video do you?

    UND vs SUU

    Reality sucks.

    UND vs SUU

It's been one of those games when even when the Sioux get a break they can't cash and vice versa for SUU. CRAP!
  8. It would never be funded with North Dakota money. It would need to be big time donations. A new stadium is part of the long term master plan. http://grandforkslife.blogspot.com/2008/01...y-pictures.html
  9. I think USF is better than SUU. If Sutton is healthy, the Sioux win a close one. Without Sutton, the Sioux lose.
  10. I'm connecting your post, Irish, with the one from The Sicatoka yesterday... They better start "getting it" or there will be calls to the 605 area code.
  11. Agreed. USF came into Grand Forks and took care of business. No excuses.
  12. NDSU student leaders thank Chapman You can't make this stuff up.
  13. First, hats off to U of Sioux Falls. They came into GF and proved themselves. The problem they will face in the future, is no one is going to want to schedule them. I wasn't able to listen or watch the game. I was only able to follow it via blackberry, but from what I read, the Sioux did little right. I blame the coaching more than the players for what happened on Saturday, but there is enough blame to go around. Adjustments should have been made after USF took the first drove down the field. The defense needs to improve for UND to compete at the FCS level. Hopefully, the Sioux learn from this and don't forget it. Can we blame Mertens for this?
  14. Yikes!!!! I'm hoping there is still plenty of time left to pull this off.
  15. What is the score? From what I'm reading it doesn't look good for Sioux. Hard to follow via Blackberry
  16. For those interested in today's meeting, here is a link to the agenda and accompanying material. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to read 75 pages today.
  17. UND just went through a lengthy process to find Kelley. When was Chapman going to make it known that he was leaving? Sorry Joe. This doesn't make sense.
  18. Ahh, you're right Kent says it to Val Kilmer's character and Val responds with "Rue the day. Who talks like that."
  19. Doesn't the cop in "Men at Work" say that line when he gets handcuffed to the merry-go-round?
  20. I had forgotten about her.
  21. Ditto!
  22. Unfortunately, this is par for the course for the "Elite" of DC, congress, state government, etc. The ND "elite" are probably just admiring him and how he was able to do all of this. Breaking the law? Pish, he was just doing what the rest of them do or wish they could. He'll get a stern talking to and then the matter will go away. If someone actually did do call him on it, his constituents would love it, but his peers would not.
  23. Because I don't live in GF and haven't in quite some time, I'm kind of an outisder looking in. I have a couple of questions for those against the Alerus. If the facility is losing money doing concerts and it seems that the concert market is not what it once was, wouldn't it be wise for the Alerus to not do concerts and concentrate on doing conventions and large scale meetings? I seem to recall reading that the ND Democrat convention hadn't been to GF in 20-30 years and came only because of the Alerus/Canad complex. Couldn't the Alerus be more profitable if they looked to the convention/conference crowd with a nice mix of athletics? Let the Ralph and Frtiz handle the concerts.
  24. Could it be they are using the Gopher games as a recruiting tool for football, mixing the football and hockey to dazzle young recruits? That could backfire if they see a half full Alerus on Saturday afternoon.
