Unfortunately, this is par for the course for the "Elite" of DC, congress, state government, etc. The ND "elite" are probably just admiring him and how he was able to do all of this. Breaking the law? Pish, he was just doing what the rest of them do or wish they could. He'll get a stern talking to and then the matter will go away. If someone actually did do call him on it, his constituents would love it, but his peers would not.

Because I don't live in GF and haven't in quite some time, I'm kind of an outisder looking in. I have a couple of questions for those against the Alerus. If the facility is losing money doing concerts and it seems that the concert market is not what it once was, wouldn't it be wise for the Alerus to not do concerts and concentrate on doing conventions and large scale meetings? I seem to recall reading that the ND Democrat convention hadn't been to GF in 20-30 years and came only because of the Alerus/Canad complex. Couldn't the Alerus be more profitable if they looked to the convention/conference crowd with a nice mix of athletics? Let the Ralph and Frtiz handle the concerts.

Could it be they are using the Gopher games as a recruiting tool for football, mixing the football and hockey to dazzle young recruits? That could backfire if they see a half full Alerus on Saturday afternoon.

Dressler breaks leg but might return this year Hopefully Weston heals quickly and is back for the playoffs.

Landry manages a good game. Without him yesterday, I believe the Sioux would have lost. Hopefully Sutton is ready for next week to help carry the load. On the matter of being overmatched, I'd rather be winning games in which I may be over matched then losing games I should be winning. That said, I hope the Sioux don't take USF lightly next weekend. Not that I'm trying to look past this season, but I do look forward to one more year of experience with the personnel the Sioux have. The Sioux are still pretty young and the future looks bright. Go SIOUX!!!

I just watched the goal line stand video at the end of the game on Youtube. Wow!! Sounded like it got pretty loud in the Alerus. That had to make for some pretty good nation-wide television viewing. First weekend on FCS was very nice. Go Sioux!!!

Which is my point. If you don't know hockey, you may think that they are doing "the chop". As someone mentioned there has to be some more current photos they could use, but they choose not to. I don't call this coincidence. I call it deliberate. Obviously this is an older photo, looking at the logo on the jerseys.

Why is it that almost every time the Forum runs a story on the Sioux name it includes a picture of the student section "appearing" to be doing a tomahawk chop. To my knowledge the tomahawk chop has never been done en masse by UND, although it has been by the virtuous Florida State.
