Is it just me or does the Southern Oregon logo on the SS.com front page look like a witch riding a broom? It would have been better to have them in for Halloween.

I can see South Alabama being a big draw along the Gulf Coast. There is no Division I football between Tallahassee and Hattiesberg. Since there is a void, there is no true allegiance to one team in the area. You have Alabama, Auburn, Florida, FSU, USM and LSU fans. With over a million people in the Mobile/Pensacola area, I can see USA football being a big hit. It will take time to build the fan base, but it is ripe for the picking.

For years Chapman has been this aloof figure that believed rules were for other people. What made him suddenly change his tune? Sure I think the fact that the Foundation wasn't backing him was part of it, but I also believe the fact that his wife is involved in this mess played into it heavily. He liked being the BMOC, but I wonder if his wife was a bit squeamish about being the target of ire. Not quite ready for that role.
