  1. In honor of the playoffs, I brought back my old avatar. WHO DAT?!
  2. Boulder has 4 Whole Food locations, two near CU, one on either end of the campus; the Magazine St. location in New Orleans is near Tulane, there is a Whole Foods near Denver University, there is a Whole Foods just west of the U of Wisc. campus. Whole Foods is building in Burlington Vermont, a college town. Look here to find more Whole Food locations. I'm sure there are many more near college campuses. With that I end my discussion of the merits of a Whole Food in GF.
  3. Although the ladies are still in last place in the WCHA, they are improving and building. The next few years are going to be fun to watch.
  4. Thanks for the info. Nice win ladies.
  5. I'm surprised Olbermann has 2 people watching him.
  6. I was bored today.
  7. You're right, I should have said school/SBoHE issue. Regardless, it isn't a Summit issue. Insofar as the NCAA is concerned, UND is in compliance with the settlement agreement, yet somehow the Summit deems that to be a problem. It seems the Summit has some other issues they should be concerned about, WIU.
  8. WIU is a Summit League school in all sports except football, so I would label WIU a Summit League school. The "Fighting Sioux" name is a school issue, not a conference issue, yet the Summit makes it one.
  9. Interesting, but wouldn't that have been a better argument here, here or here.
  10. I like it!
  11. The reason that I suggested Whole Foods to begin with is because they are national name with good products and services. Jay's Foods doesn't have the same vibe.
  12. Hey, but the Sioux are ahead of UM-Crookston (942). I'm sure Faison is getting an earful.
  13. I watched a bit of the first part of the game. I thought the Princeton was based on moving and quick passes. This is not what I saw the Sioux doing. Texas A&,M 82, North Dakota 41 One player in double figures, Benter. I see that Houston Baptist is 1-12 and U-T Pan American is 1-15. Maybe the Sioux can win another game this year.
  14. I will admit that they aren't the cheapest, but they do have some good deals and their deli has good meals at a reasonable price. There has to be a reason that they have stores near college campuses.
  15. I will snap my fingers and make the corporate muckity-mucks at Whole Food make it so. Darn. It didn't work. Whole Food is a publicly traded company that makes corporate decisions on locations of where to place their stores. I can't just start one.
  16. LETS GO SIOUX!!!!
  17. I hope this step forward is a large one with many to follow. I'm receiving price increases from my vendors on steel. Up 8% with more to increases to come. Hopefully they can lock in some pricing.
  18. I went to Judy's after college quite a few times. Sometimes we would go there during halftime and not make it back to the game.
  19. Scott, with that list I'm sure you and I ran into each other at some point. The Spud.... "35 centers" on Thursday nights and buck pitchers on Friday afternoons. Fun stuff.
  20. The north side/south side thing cracks me up. Grand Forks is a 10 minute town. You can get anywhere you want in 10 minutes. We don't have a Whole Foods where I live, but when we visit relatives in Louisiana, my wife will drive across Lake Pontchartrain (24 mile bridge) just to go to Whole Foods. As to Whole Foods being for liberals, we are anything but liberals, but we try to go organic/healthy whenever possible. Put something like this near college students and "they'll eat it up".
  21. How about a Whole Foods. A college campus would be a nice fit. I realize that GF probably doesn't fit the demographics for a full-size store, but they do have a store in Portland, Maine and one under construction in Burlington Vermont. North Dakota has proven itself to be somewhat recession-proof. I have seen some quite large stores and smaller ones. A smaller one on a college campus seems like a nice fit.
  22. Flight School Trains Pilots Who'll Never Fly Nice job by the folks at Aerospace to recognize this trend and act upon it.
  23. Sometimes when a contractor comes in significantly lower than competitor's bids it is because he sees an opportunity for change orders somewhere in the bid documents. The other contractors may also have seen it, but wanted to cover their costs in the event the "possible change order" was rejected. With the cost over-run at the mansion and the collapse on this site, the costs on this project will now be scrutinized more than they would ordinarily be. MJ will have a tough row to hoe*. *note the AC reference
  24. and then there was this.
