UC Davis lost a close one when San Jose State scored with 8 seconds left in the game. Tough loss.

Texas Tech defeated Eastern Washington 49-24 today. EWU is ranked as high as 6th in many of the DI FCS polls. TT had alot of penalties and EWU seemed to kept themselves in the game until later in the second half. It'll be interesting to see how UMass is able to play with them in a couple of weeks.

I have been wondering the same. They were showing some network called REELZ(?) for a while and now I am getting VS. even though they are still showing it on channel 69 as well. I don't need 2 VS. channels.

Driving around Mayville last night I saw a handful of these signs up in people's yards! I live in an apartment but will have my sign hanging up on the balcony on gamedays!

I think Sioux fans need to be careful about making fun of some of these team that NDSU has played or will be playing. Chances are good that we could end up playing many of these teams in the future, too. Second, why are Bison fans so obsessed with the idea that UND needs to play UMary. Go ahead and schedule them if you want.

Umm, you do realize that UMary and Chadron are both DII teams don't you?

I stand by my opinion that Bemidji State should not be let into the WCHA. If the WCHA is going to look at expansion I think that they need to look at the long term future of college hockey. I believe that the WCHA working to add schools such as the University of Colorado, Colorado State and even NDSU would be a better course. I don't think it would be so bad to see the WCHA have 2 divisions, one primarily based in Minnesota and the other primarily based in Colorado. Even possibly having the Colorado division break off into its own conference with schools such as DU, CC, UC, CSU, UAA, UAF, UNO and maybe NDSU. Obviously this would be a ways down the road. But having a true western conference would be nice and possibly encourage more western schools to look at the sport. As far as Bemidji and Crookston, I think it would be a better course to try and get a hand full of NSIC schools to add hockey and look at having a DII NSIC hockey league that includes schools like Winona, UMary, Moorhead, Southwestern, Auggie and possibly some GLIAC and MIAA schools. Even though the NCAA doesn't give a DII championship, you could still have a NSIC championship tournament at one of the WCHA school's arenas at the end of the season and likely still draw a nice crowd. Try getting the MIAA, GLIAC, and Rocky Mountain conferences to eventually offer hockey, even at a very limited or no scholarship and try to get DII hockey going again. Overall I think this would be the best for college hockey. And if you can get DII hockey going again in the midwest, it could possibly someday be a feeder system for DI hockey and schools looking to move up in the future. Just my random opinions.

The Dec. 15 Western Michigan at Grand Forks game is no longer listed. That is rather disappointing. I hope they are going to make it up by playing here next year.

It is my understanding that Faison and Tech's AD are pretty good friends. Whether it is a personal or professional friendship I don't know. But it sounds like Faison does have quite a few DI connections from his time at NMSU, especially in the western conferences. Hopefully he can utilize those connections to help out the transition and eventual conference affiliation.

I completely agree with you and understand the correct points you are making. I just think it is dumb for everybody to be arguing about it. If somebody wants to knowingly use the incorrect term, let them. They will be the one who looks silly.

I can't believe you guys are arguing about something so petty. Threads that end up like this just really show how some people would rather bicker and argue than carry on an actual discussion.
