I consider it a certainty that we will lose Stafford. Therefore it is basically a for sure to me.

It sounds like Forney will be coming next year for sure, unless we don't lose any forwards to the pros.

I realize that it isn't the same as college, but Oshie played center at least some of the time in high school.

Stafford speculation will start the minute the season ends, one way or the other.

As for Herbst, don't you think a prospective basketball player would be more likely to sign with the Sioux if the coach LOOKED like a basketball player/coach? Herbst should be recruiting noseguards.

I realize that I am only going by stats as I have not seen him play but who is recruiting John Murray (the other goalie for Sioux Falls)? I know that he is from PA so he probably wants to stay out east somewhere but maybe he would be a good option besides Kangas. He has a GAA under 2 and a save percentage somewher near 94 percent. Anyone have any info?

I think that it needs to happen, although for me that is nothing new as I have thought that for a few years. I don't really care if he resigns, is fired or any other way of being gone as long as he is just that...GONE, and soon, PLEASE!!!

It looked as though Roebuck wanted Langen to guard Robinette close but Langen just could not make herself do that because of the speed that Robinette had. I think that that was a big reason for us not pressing her more. As far as bench play goes, Ledger seems to come in more for her defense than offense (although she can provide both to a certain degree), Baagason had a good night tonight shooting the ball although she did not play too many minutes. I think that Maffin needs to step up the offense a bit. She is great at spotting up and pretty good at creating her own shot and yet to me it seems like something is missing. She seems to be in there for her offense moreso than defense so I expect a bit more from her.

Oh, how I hope we get the Lamoureux twins. That would be a big coup for the coaching staff and the program in general. I wonder if there has been any type of communication with them (legally, of course).

Judging by each of their hometowns (Hampden, Conn. and Buffalo, NY), I would think that they at least aren't brothers. Also, Jon Quick went to Avon Old Farms and Kevin went to Salisbury Prep. I would think that highly rated brothers would go to the same school (ala the Toews' or Murray's or Parise's).

On Heisenberg's site, he has Kevin Quick listed as a dman. So, we would still need a goalie for 07 even if we did get him.
