As I remember he is an 89 so he would still be eligible for the WJs. I would put the likelihood of him making it as slim to none.

Sacchetti has already committed to the Goofs for 08, so he is no longer a prospective recruit. Maybe I am missing the reason that you posted the link.

As far as the goalie, that would be Pat Arnason and IMO he is not d1 material. He seems to me to be a product of very good players in front of him. I think that the two d men have a shot at playing d1 although I would take Galbreath over LaDouceur any day. There is also a forward (Eric Meland) who I think should end up playing d1 if he chooses to.

I for one appreciate the light hearted comments of people on this board. I look forward to reading the boards for info but am more than pleased to see a sarcastic or humorous post by Hockey Mom or Diggler or any of the others that don't take their words as gospel on here. I would like to see us get 2 more dmen and a forward (Toews). That would be a good end to our class for 08

I figured that with this being rather official he deserved his own thread. It's good to get another solid recruit for 08. It seems that we have a very good class coming in for that year and this just helps it along further.

I am very happy that we got him and just as happy that we don't seem to have resorted to dirty measures to get him. That 08 class is shaping up quite nicely .

Yes, we have Brad Eidsness verbally committed for 2008. Siouxnami's list seems to have potential recruits other than the ones that we already have so that would be most likely why for goalie it says not likely for 2008. Edit: AZ sioux beat me to it

Both Stepan and Montpetit are Wisco recruits. Stepan verbed not long ago.

So I realize that this is far from reliable but I had a dream last night that Riley Nash committed to the Sioux. Hopefully that is a good sign.

I for one appreciate what #1 Hak Fan has to say on here about recruits because I don't know anyone close enough to the program to get that kind of info in advance. The only thing I have trouble with is when he (or she) hints at something but doesn't give anymore info because I am impatient and don't like secrets but I understand why he/she doesn't say anything more.

I was sensing sarcasm in #1 Hak's post. I might be wrong though. We are getting a lot of recruits out of high school, the national team, BCHL and Shattuck so that might have also been a part of it.

Trupp wasn't drafted. He is rather small and I am guessing that that was at least part of the reason for him not being drafted. The good news about him being small and undrafted is that he should end up being a very good four year player along with Duncan.

Where to start. How about Vandevelde is a much more highly thought of recruit as is LaPoint, Forney, Bishop, Zajac, Marto, Malone, Genoway, Hextall and both recruits that we have for 08 and 09. Yes, he is a local kid and yes he was good in high school but he wouldn't be able to crack the lineup this year or next as far as I can tell. Just my opinion though.

Hopefully the first of many to come for Brad. It would help for him to keep up this pace of production as well.

Darn, I have trouble watching when Belmore is playing. I find him frustrating. Just my opinion though.

I plan on staying and watching some of the men's games this year to see how our new system will be. That is very different from the last 5 or more years when I had absolutely no interest in the mens program due to the coach/playing style/overall system that was in place. I am hoping to see a more disciplined team this year as well as an exciting set of plays (more than 2 would help) and a good attitude.

That's a good pickup for them. I was hoping he would come here but then someone mentioned that his dad wasn't happy about how UND have handled the goaltending situation with Phil so that put some doubt in my mind. Hopefully we can pick up a verbal from Riley Nash. Has Nash come for a visit yet that anyone knows of?

I still think we end up with Mario Lamoureux. No evidence just a feeling I have. As for the others I would think that we have a good shot at Gregoire, Riley Nash and hopefully Ben Blood. I think if Toews goes the college route he will very likely come here and I would think we would get Murray. I don't get a good feeling about Sacchetti and Youso. Wasn't it Youso that was supposedly really wanting to go to the Goofs? I am not completely sure on that however. Great post by the way. It's good to see all of the names together in one post.

Can you at least tell us whether it is someone that has been talked about lately? If so my guess is Malone. Don't leave us hangin' like this.
