I am hoping that they fire someone (Glas) this offseason. I don't even care if they term it as a retirement or a resignation or anything else as long as he is gone for next season.

I think that Kozek will be a good if not very good to excellent offensive threat as he adjusts to the speed of the game around him. It will also help when he is not playing on the 3rd or 4th line. Hopefully that will be next year or the year after.

I think that Genoway may be like Lee Marvin in that he will play whereever is needed.

Thanks, I was just wondering how long people thought it would be since he came for a visit a week or so ago. Wasn't Cornell the only other school that was known to be on his list and then they got a commitment from Scrivens so I thought that that might take them out of the running.

Anyone have an idea when we might hear about a Thiessen commitment?

I would definitely hope they could get a win but who knows with how it has been going this year.

The point is Rich Glas has moved far beyond the point of usefulness and productivity. The program is in the s@%^*er right now and there is not much positive outlook from fans in town like there was at one point in time. Glas simply has to go for the betterment of the program IMO.

That would be very good if the Oilers could keep Greene up. I apologize for my previous post about only acquiring 1 dman. I had not heard about the Spacek deal.

Edmonton traded for 1 dman from what I read. So it should not affect Greene's ice time.

I just saw that the oilers traded Cory Cross to the Pens along with Jani Rita for Dick Tarnstrom. I got excited when I saw that Cross was gone but then noticed that Tarnstrom is in the fold so it probably doesn't mean any more ice time for Greener.

It has little to nothing to do with an unwillingness to take or dish out contact. He is just incredibly well positioned and very disciplined. He is extremely solid defensively and can make some nice plays offensively. He seems to be great at decision making with the puck and has a good shot from the point. He is very good at the breakout pass.

Wow, sounds like he did well. It surprises me that he would go near the second or third round. I thought that he would either be a 6th or 7th rounder or a free agent signee. That seems like good news .

As far as I know Strouth will be a soph. again because of his knee injury being so early in the season. Anyone know if that is false?

HockeyMom, hope that you have fun with Jody in Cancun. Hope that the women can get a sweep against St. Cloud. It seems that for how much better they are this year, they are definitely not getting the results that were expected, at least from me.

Thank you for the insight. I don't consider myself to be very good at scouting. As for Bergan, it really was clear that she had no one on that team that she really trusted to score when she passed them the ball. She also had a pretty bad shooting night as was stated above. It sure seems that the VC coach doesn't have much of a grasp of basketball coaching. It should be fun to see how Bergan improves after a year or two of good coaching and better teammates around her.

Well, I just got back from the Central/VC game. I thought that VC was pretty bad except for Bergan. She definitely is not as polished as Seay is but, with some coaching, she could definitely be a good player a couple of years down the road. Seay could be a factor for the Sioux coming off of the bench next year. She has a great shot and seems to be able to get it off from anywhere. She seems to have a smooth and quick release. I think that the Sioux got a couple of good ones. I would guess that at least Bergan will redshirt a year.

I thought that against Harvard, Finley was more of a physical player and also had his best home series to date, even though he had a broken hand. I think that he may have turned the corner. I am hopeful anyweays.

Gratzek picking SU based on his chosen major is a bunch of crap. UND has a far better Mech. engineering program than SU does. So it must have come down to pure football decisions or liking the campus/area better there.
