  1. This is a big get for the Sioux. I figured that it was fitting to start a thread as this might be a hot topic for a little while. I would say that our 2010 recruiting class is starting off with a bang. Welcome to UND Nick.
  2. If those aren't rhetorical questions, I will answer them. You have to earn playing time whether you are a freshman or a senior. It's always been that way in 99.9 percent of situations at UND. Apparently guys like Miller, Martens and Forney among others have earned their playing time more than he has. There have been many seniors in the past that didn't get to play (Brandt, Foyt, Fillion among others in recent years).
  3. The difference between this owner and the previous owner is that you have to be 21 to drink there because they actually card people now. The food is better than it used to be as well.
  4. I eat just about anything there. Pretty much everything is good. I usually go for the conversation
  5. Stephen Caple is playing for a BCHL team, I don't recall which one though.
  6. That makes me feel a little less like a pig.
  7. He would be a 2010 recruit, correct? I am glad that we have gotten in contact with him this early (not really that early these days) and already gotten him here on a visit. He sounds promising.
  8. I assume I am not the only person that gets one whole and one half for a meal. I hope not anyways. 2 if I'm really hungry.
  9. Just 4. It wasnt bad, but I know that both of you weren't too big on it. I will make sure that it doesnt go to waste. I think light beer for next time.
  10. Maybe have to get a different beer next time though. Fun times.
  11. I think Dakota Collins is the one that he is talking about. He has been mentioned as being a very good prospect on other sites.
  12. The thing is they don't play an easy schedule. I will say that some of the games are cakewalks, however, they do play college teams, all star teams, international teams and many other tough opponents. They dominated Crookston for all of Saturday's game. It was a slaughter. They are just a really good team. Toews is definitely the best player on the team, even without looking at the stats.
  13. I was at the Shattuck game in Crookston last night. Toews was definitely the best player on the ice. Etem showed flashes although he was playing against men that were somewhere between 6 and 8 years older than he is, so he definitely was at a disadvantage as far as strength goes. Carle and Kostolansky stuck out on D. Nice skating ability. Overall Shattuck looked excellent.
  14. Danny Mattson's birthday is November 20th, 1990 which puts him just barely into the 2009 draft, as I believe that the cutoff is sometime in late October of 1990.
  15. We are one of MacWilliam's final two so, even if I ignore him, Hak and crew haven't been. That is from a very reputable source.
  16. As I remember Soley was mentioned quite a while ago in a thread on this site. However I haven't heard that we have shown interest in either Soley or Condon. I would think that we are completely full at forward for next year and I think that we have some other targets for 09 so I don't know that it is likely that we would end up with either of them. As for Meland, he has been getting some interest from D1 programs already. Most of them out east. Don't know about LaDouceur.
  17. Keep an eye on Andrew MacWilliam from Camrose of the AJHL. I know that we have shown interest in him and the feeling is mutual from what I have heard.
  18. It would be fun to continue to branch out to the east as far as recruiting goes. If I remember right, Malone played out east for a prep school. Cichy played for the Jr. Bruins for most of last year. Maybe he made a few friends on that team and impacted their decisions. I know absolutely nothing about Henrion, but he is pretty far up on Heisenberg's list for 2009 in the east. Hopefully it is him. Has anyone heard anything else about the recruit that was here for the Manitoba exhibition?
  19. Is Mike Fink hurt? It doesn't look like he has played in the last couple of games.
  20. According to the Blackhawks website, Toews will play his first game on Wednesday night against the Sharks. I hadn't seen that posted on here yet.
  21. I knew Shannon rather well and became friends with her when my sister worked with her for a period of time. I had lost contact with her for the last year or so but still considered her a friend. She was always such a happy person and a fun person to be around as she could cheer me up just by being around her. She had a marvelous energy about her. I will miss her greatly and send my condolences to her parents and siblings. RIP Shannon, you will be greatly missed by so very many.
  22. I for one will be going to listen to him speak. Should be very interesting.
  23. I would add Hanowski to that list. Or maybe I missed him committing somewhere else.
