  1. please, please, I hope no one ever forgets one of the most classic uses of a song in the new REA. Jon Durno, Canisius, Third Period Penalty 'Dude looks like a lady" This one will be tough to top for timing by the staff at the REA.
  2. they are going to make a replica, different materials, less weight.
  3. Not exactly related, but possibly some more light shed on the subject. http://www.uscho.com/news/2004/04/21_008482.php At least this article may help explain some anticipations that are occuring with title IX and contract releases going on.
  4. rookie posting mistake, apologies i'll figure you two 'crackers' out yet
  5. Maybe the inference could be made or the parallel from Sioux to Raging Reds. I seriously doubt PCM had that in mind and I don't see it. The Sioux didn't live in the RRV for the most part anyway. As for your ridiculous flood comment, you're washed up. I'd really like to hear all comments from anyone that any sort of name could offend the 97 disaster victims. OK, maybe the '2 late, 2 littlers'. Oh, and don't go to the 'you weren't there' arguement.

    NDSU schedule

uff-da ewe Sioux fans git perty werked up bout dem dere bison phootball guys huh. let er go yer soundin like a bunch a seperation anxiety folks GO SIOUX!!!
  7. no I didn't miss it. I was just spouting on what CH had commented on. Maybe his 'hit the fan' comment was just an instigator? by the way, how do you get an image inserted into a reply to a post? Do you have to list a url? or can you somehow copyclip the image into the text?
  8. Yes, you're correct. All seasons are now century club level and have a $110 membership fee. That is once per year. From now on though if you want four seats together (assuming that will ever happen) you'll have to join the coaches club @ $1000. You will not be able to get four seats together at the century club level (ergo. no $220 membership fees*) *there is one exception
  9. S**t hitting the fan? Cup holder? $3.41 per game per seat? I could go back to UND for a two credit class, pay the activities fee and blow what I pay out of the water. I can't believe it's that big of a deal for students to spend either $3.50 a game or the $8.00 it costs for walk up. Hey, season ticket holders will pay more for tickets this year per seat per game as well. Five less games and the prices are going up. Some are whining but not me. It all comes down to priorities. Maybe the hockey games aren't a priority for some? That's ok; I understand that we have doubled the seating capacity from years back so student presence, sustainability, and marketing are all different. But when I grew up, I made it a priority to save money to go to the games, whether they were in the GA, student or reserved seating areas. Not a diehard hockey fan and want to attend a game? Why should it be a students right to attend any athletic event for free? Other activities of the University cost money and students seek other forms of entertainment that they prioritize. Remember that your tuition subsidizes your education, not athletics. I want students to be there. They contribute a great deal. Yes, the economic truth that has become the reality of the REA is sometimes hard to swallow. It feels sometimes that RE left us a great tradition, but a bill to go along with it. This issue will come up again when the bill goes up associated with the

    The War Comes Home

Inappropriate on this thread. period. PCM, you stated; "I started this thread out of respect for Ken Hendrickson. If people make arguments here, I will respond to them here. " No response needed. God bless these men's families.
  11. good call!
  12. I have to stop making these mistakes or use preview, 12/25/04 thru 01/04/05 sorry
  13. 12/29/04 thru 01/04/05
  14. OOPS, my bad 20 home games, not 15
  15. The big bummer, although I agree with yours; 15 home games next year vs. 23 this year, ouch. Consolation, lots of good WJT hockey. but, there will be that added travel budget for the away games. home or not, Go Sioux
  16. While I agree, we are getting the west regional the following year. I do think the WCHA Final Five needs to rotate between the teams. UAA may be a stretch, but all of the other locations are viable. I'm sure that the Xcel may have a different take. And, so what if they are smaller venues! Some of the best hockey to be watched is in smaller arenas. $$$ Thanks for the schedule post.
  17. I'd have to agree with Barry, on ESPN. The Av's far from kicked anyone's ass last night. I know you like'm, I'm indifferent, I think the series has been fun to watch.

    Penrose Award

Very cool! Congratulations Sandy. You deserve it. What a great reflection on UND.
  19. really the only thing i see as better access to students is if they moved the section from the northeast to the southeast, at least they wouldn't have to walk as far from their entrance tickets prices, availability, quantity and 'location' all seem to be reasonable? am I wrong? where's the beef?
  20. thread on topic? cfm, they've left it by the side of the road, kicked it across a river, and pissed in it. The Stanley Cup. I liken this to our SIOUX because my pride runs just as deep and revered for our team without the accolades. If we're worried about the 'pristine' nature of the REA, I personally would rather that things like this become lore rather than attacked. JMO
  21. Once again, I do not diminish what people in the armed forces do for our country but what you keep mentioning gets to me. Are military supposedly more proud than the rest of us. ergo, more offended when 'their' toes are stepped on?
  22. I graduated from SU, grew up in GF and love both the schools. (The Sioux a bit more of course) I completely disagree with the Blue-Key Ownership stance. If ownership is the issue, the state of north dakota and its citizens own it. Therefore, it goes to a place, where everyone can relish in its history. Not prostituted by a group that originally came forth to recognize something very important about the two schools and their past, present, and future. If the future is uncertain, as it has always been about who would own it the 'next' year, then leave it's future just as uncertain now. I think it would be naive of any of us to believe these two teams will never play again! UND played the Jayhawks because of one North Dakota kid. This rivalry is special for it's memories and it's hopes don't take away from that and people will never forget what it has meant and still does. They will play again. I am unaware of any regulations on the Nickels' award conditions, so if you know otherwise please enlighten me on the "UND would lose" comment.
  23. i agree move on. oh, and since when did our national anthem become a military proprietary?
