  1. Our Pee Wee son will be playing in a tournament in Moorhead next weekend and the squirt schedule allows our whole family to attend my son's games there. We have 4 tickets for the Saturday night Sioux/Gopher game at REA, 7:00 PM. Section 314A, Row G, seats 3,4,5,6, $100 for the set of four. If you are interested, let me know as soon as you can.
  2. Another bump to freshen it up a little and I'm sure one or two other threads will quickly push it down. Things a looking great with the team building of the Red River Mud Sharks. We still need coaches and players at the '96, '99, U10, and U12 teams. The '95s, '97s, and '98s are looking great but could still use a few more players for these teams too. The '98s need a goalie. Regular youth hockey season has started and we are getting our name out, this has already net us new players. Our games may be in the spring and summer, but there is a lot to do all winter too in order to be ready to hit the ice in April. If you are looking to play or coach summer youth hockey, the Red River Mud Sharks are looking for you! Check out www.redrivermudsharks.com
  3. This would be a great idea to implement at REA, beats those 5 year old Cloverdale Meat commericals they show 10 times at every game.

  5. Nice results so far for Roehl!
  6. Now that Wayne State is dropping hockey after the 07-08 season leaving the CHA with only 4 teams, does the WCHA, and others, re-evaluate their stance on expansion? USCHO: BREAKING: Wayne State To Drop Men's Hockey
  7. Any chance WWU has a video webcast?

  9. I just opened this thread to the very first page, 2 years and 167 pages ago, and look who the first name is! Spooky.
  10. Zach Parise with a goal and Jordan Parise with 10 saves on 11 shots in 30 minutes in a 3-2 loss against the Flyers in pre-season action.
  11. 3 more minutes of my life I will never get back.
  12. From the GF Herald: Junior quarterback Danny Freund, making his first career start, threw five scoring passes in the opening two quarters to stake UND to its big lead. The five touchdown passes are one short of the school
  13. Sorta an alum, I'm a dropout and perspective future student.
  14. This all sounds sorta Graham Krackerish, when I want your opinion I'll give it to you.
  15. Sheik Isa Air Base, Bahrain, Sept 2001. She was a UND Aerospace grad, then a US Marine Corps Captain/Aircraft Commander flying KC-130s between Bahrain and Afghanistan.
  16. The Red River Mud Sharks AAA Hockey Club is looking for coaches and players for the 2008 AAA season. We are looking to field teams for the '95 to '99 divisions for boys and U-10 and U-12 for girls. If there is an older age group that we have not included that would like to skate for the Mud Sharks, we will happily add them to our program. Our goal is for each team to participate in 3 tournaments and possibly even some games against other regional AAA clubs. For more information, check out www.redrivermudsharks.com
  17. The EGF Pee Wees didn't do very well. We faced Bismarck on Friday evening and lost 4-3 in OT on the main REA sheet, I missed that game as I was at my Mite's game at the EGF Civic Center. On Saturday they faced Carman, MB again at REA and played pretty uninspired, lost 4-2. Sunday they faced Assiniboa West, MB at Gambucci and pulled out a season ending win, 5-2. Now my son starts with his AAA team, the '95 Lumberjacks, in Blaine on Thursday in the Showcase Hockey AAA League. He got drafted by this team and they play out of the Schwan Super Rink. This will start 10 practices, 14 games and 3 tournaments within league play and the International Cup Tournament at the Super Rink in late June and early July and Hockey Fest in Alexandria in late July. And I agree, $35 was a bit steep. We were in the Fargo Squirt International a couple years ago and it was $25 I think, that is about as much as I think they should charge, even for a whole weekend.
  18. My son is the goalie for the EGF Pee Wee B team that will be in the tourney. A couple years ago I would be a wreck when he took his turn as goalie for his mite team, more worried about what his team mates would say to him and how he would handle that than the actual outcome of the game. Like DaveK said about his son, mine rolls with the punches, tries his best and has fun. My younger son too will be a first year squirt next year and, although he takes his turn and plays goal for his mite team, he has assured me it is funner to score goals than to try to stop them.
  19. Or are you refering to the Grand Forks Hockey Classic on March 16-18? It is a tourney for Mites, Squirt As & Bs, and Pee Wee Bs. It will be played at EVERY arena in Grand Forks and some games at the Civic Center in EGF.
  20. I think BSU already competes well within the WCHA, the were 5-5-0 against WCHA competition this year (2-0 at Mankato, 2-0 home/home with Duluth, 1-1 at Colorado College, 0-2 at Mich Tech, and 0-2 home/home against the Sioux). Over a 28 game league schedule, they would have made some noise in the league, albeit still pobably a lower half finish, and look what our lower half teams did last night. They can play and according to the article, they are not fully funded. New facility, premier league, full funding, proximity to conference opponents, I think they would do well in the WCHA.
  21. Page A2 of todays Heraldo has an article on Bemidji St athletics and it states Bemidji St is in the process of applying for membership in the WCHA [url="http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/index.cfm?id=30301
  22. At least there are no pictures. It looked ridiculous on the Red River team at state and last night it looked like a lot of the Warroad players had done it too with the same results.
